One thing that's often funny to me is that people still get mixed up with the Democrat/Republican paradigm, when really that paradigm is you're either in favor of corporate globalism or you give a shit about the American People. That's the real paradigm. Globalism vs nationalism. Corportism vs. patriotism. Bill Gates vs. Joe 6 Pack.

There's people in both parties that are bought and sold and people in both parties who give a shit about average working stiffs. Who care about the country. Who aren't in it just to sell out the country and get rich in the process. And nothing makes this more clear than with trade policy.

Trump was the first politician to come along in a generation and say screw the corporate elite, we have to start looking after our own workers. We need to abandon free trade and start putting tariffs on all the cheap shit coming in from China. That if we don't do something now about China, China will destroy us. And you don't want to live in a world where the strongest super power on earth is run by a dictatorship. That puts the liberty of all people on earth at risk.

So Trump did what countless other politicians promised. From Ross Perot, to Ralph Nader to Howard Dean to Dennis Kucinich, all of them warned the Democrat party that free trade was destroying us, but it was Trump who actually changed things. Not a single other mofo had the balls to do it. Not Obama, not Bush, not Clinton. Rather, all those Presidents presided over the total gutting of America's manufacturing base. And as more and more jobs went over seas, the giant sucking sound that Ross Perot warned everyone about, no one put the brakes on it. Not the Republican party, and not the Democrat party.

Everyone said Trump was nuts, racist and crazy, but he did it. He pulled us out of these batshit crazy trade deals. He brought back protectionism. And then Covid happened. And every business leader in the country saw just how stupid it had been to off shore every damn thing to China.

So 3 years into Biden's first term, what's happened? If anything, Biden has continued Trump's protectionism. That's right. Joe Biden is no free trader. With Trump's populist message, the Democrats can't afford to take union support for granted anymore. The unions have always been against free trade, and if the GOP via Trump is making a play for those voters, then the Dems have to do something. Biden also knows that letting China being the US's factory is just not a safe option anymore after Covid.

So what's the result of all this? Have you guys been paying attention to what's happening in China? China is in free fall. China is collapsing. This year alone, China has been decimated. So much foreign investment has dried up that cities that used to be manufacturing hubs now look like ghost towns. Youth unemployment in China went past 21%, and then got so bad that China stopped releasing data on it. Cities that used to be packed shoulder to shoulder as people went to their jobs making everything from tennis shoes to iPhones are now vacant. Barely a hundred people on the street, 10,000 factories closed down, few remaining, new ones closing by the day.

China, the nation that once threatened to knock the USA off the top of the mountain is now entering into what appears to be a Great Depression, and things may get so bad so fast that there could be a political revolution in the not too near distant future. And sure, Covid did a lot of damage. But the biggest threat the US has faced since the collapse of the Soviet Union was China. And now China is reeling. And none of that would have been possible without one man having the balls to do what no other man did. And that man is Trump.

When trump did the tariff in 2018, 2019 China passed those increases to American companies which passed them to the consumer. Now, post covid when the goods coming back here, and with our higher labor cost, those companies have to increase the prices that the consumer has to pay....is that trump's fault? The higher cost of product??
There's other countries that are contributing to China's economic woes so let's pump the brakes on the whole one man trump wrecking crew.
Also a new slogan....Make Vietnam Great...Again. Cause that's gonna be the new China

But it was mostly the Fed keeping interest rates too low and for too long on top of Democrats spending like drunken sailors during Covid.

Yes, other countries are now jumping on board with doing something about China. But it was Trump that got the ball rolling. He was the first guy to do anything about China, and every one of you protested it at the time and said we should stay the course with free trade. Well how do ya like China now? Now that they unleashed a virus that killed millions think it might be a mistake to let them manufacture our medical equipment and medications too?

Before he left office, Trump did a lot to move manufacturing from China to India. Smart move. Unlike China, India is a democracy. Yes things have moved to Vietnam too. And Vietnam does not and will never have the power, the reach, the population size or the geography to dominant and conquer the world.

It’s amazing what can be accomplished when just one politician works on behalf of the interests of the American People. That guy was Trump.

The Chinese are dangerous and bad actors. Good thing Joe has been pushing back against them. We need to arm the Taiwanese to keep China from invading them.
As for Dems spending like drunken sailors, they're just continuing what Trump started with his tax cuts for the rich. And it wasTrump who signed the first trillion+ Covid relief package. The deficit ballooned during his four years, in case you forgot.

I remember how trump use to savage Fed Chair Powell when he tried to or thought about rising the rates. Trump wanted lower rates. I recall he wanted a zero rate.
And I have to say, the American Resue Plan along with the Child Credit got the economy going, yes it probably went 2 months longer then it should have but with out it, it's a slow recovery. And as I recall, trump want to extend the Cares Act but Senate republicans block it.Trump was really in favor of the putting MORE money out there.
And trump didn't move manufacturing to India, it was already there, it's just with China and Covid, companies had to get creative, hence Vietnam, Mexico and countries in Southeast Asia became viable countries to out source.
And the video that you're going by, something doesn't click. China was over capacity until about early-mid 2022. I couldn't get shit done over there, hence I bought my orders here. So that video, I dunno...yeah 2023 is tough on China but not for what you think. It's a complicated situation over there.
Funny thing is, trump got rid of Obama's TPP, but when you think about it, Covid kinda revived it...

…do you mean Biden ending the investigation into Chinese spies trying to steal information from universities on the basis that protecting US national security is racist?

…because I have to agree with Happy Gulag Guy. It was reckless and stupid for Trump to piss and moan about the Fed raising interest rates. The Fed should remain completely independent of the federal government. It was also stupid to spend a shit ton of money on Covid. We should have just ended the lock downs. Trump stupidly went along with the Dems Covid madness.

And just because I like to say I told you so, masks still don’t work, ivermectin still does work, and it still was stupid to lock people in their homes and vaccinate everyone. The lab leak was real, and the media censored science not conspiracy theories.

Do mask work? Do safety belts work??..,to some it makes them feel safer.
House Republican Steve Scalise is going through cancer treatments.
Is he wrong to wear a mask??
At this stage, it’s all about what you feel is best for you. I’m down with that and I’ll never mock anyone who wears one.
And why is it that it seems that MAGA republicans feel the need to belittle people who wear a mask ??
