In 2016 Trump was warned that North Korea was on the brink of starting a war.  Obama's efforts had been fruitless and counter-productive.  Trump using his style was able to eventually "befriend" Kim enough to stabilize the situation.  There is no guarantee there would have been a war, but certainly Trump steered the situation it a more favorable direction than where Obama and the forever-war deep state was headed.
