You are a real cynic when it comes to polls, but they are one of the best indicators we have of public sentiment. Having said that it would be foolish to make a judgment based on any one poll. Professionally done polls design questions and select participants carefully and are not trying to steer the outcome. Be honest. You just don't like the unfavorable results that trump is getting about his presidency. He is a failure in the opinion of the majority of Americans and it's driving you crazy. If you can't trust the polls, then why does the trump administration conduct frequent polls of their own?

If the margin of error is 2, its' really four because it's plus or minus 2, which is a four-point swing. This allows the pollster to be wrong but still claim to be right. It's like covering the spread in a sports bet. An underdog team can lose, but you can still win the bet.
Polls are bullshit and so are surveys. Sorry but there is classes at universities showing how to "polls or survey" to get the desired results.
