Now I will grant, he is a politician, and they all go to church to keep the missus happy while scoping out the unwitting local talent, whereas you or I might tell the missus to just fuck herself, and not be willing to put the effort in to seduce a church-going young lady.

But here we have posters who I know goddamned well would laugh their ass off if asked about their preachers' views, and consider comparative theology as inherently incredible, and getting foaming at the mouth rabid about what some preacher says.

Nobody seems to worry that George the Lesser is totally fucking incoherent, but if you're a Democrat, you might feel guilty about what your preacher says.

Not freaking likely.  I've lived through a 3 year divorce, and I've learned from Republicans all of my life - NOTHING is going to make me feel guilty.
