umm....excuse me, but based on what? the same polls that showed both KErry and GOre up at this stage of the election? The same pollsters that showed Reagan down by 12 when he beat Carter? The same polls that showed Ford down by 30, when he narrowly lost to Carter?

don't believe everything you read or hear from the media. Some seem to be believe that he was born in Kenya, and by his grandmother's own admission. This is supposed to be on tape. Why will Obama not produce his birth certificate? Why does he simply show it and put the matter to rest, and why does the liberal media ignore the lawsuit that was filed? Since you know he was born in Hawaii, I would like to see your PROOF.

Let's end this selective memory myth that is going around that says Kerry was up in all the polls and still lost. It simple is not true. Kerry was in only TWO(+2,+1)polls out more that TEN at this stage in 2004. McCain is down big and running out of time. The polls are usually pretty accurate at this stage of the game. The situation in 2008 is not comparable to 2004.

I don't understand in any way someone can claim to be certain of a thing without proof of a thing. That seems to me to be the absence of intellectual rigor. I say this to all on the board, please acknowledge that your beliefs are just that. Even if you believe them strongly, beliefs are neither evidence nor proof. Without proof that others are incorrect, you ought not tell them they are wrong, only that you believe differently and you believe they should agree with you for one or more reasons.
