The one thing I have taken from reading the debate transcript (I didn't see them) is that Jim Lehrer is pathetic at moderating.  I already knew he was pathetic at reporting.  He is the Dan Rather of PBS.

Lehrer aside, it seems the American people have decided that substance is more important than debate slickness.

I know, it must just be killing you.

So that makes your previous posts equating the two seem kinda pointless.

Thank you for bringing this up!  The healthy rise of the market, especially NASAQ, at the heal of Kerry's rise to the top in the polls mean only one thing:

I didn`t see any rise in the polls. I saw a few snap polls after the debates that showed Kerry as the debate winner. It however didn`t translate into a bounce in the election polls. Last I saw Bush maintained a 4 point lead. The same lead he enjoyed before the debate.

I will feel sorry for you if your man loses, but I'll feel more sorry for you if he wins.

Yes, you are right.  That is why I used the term "at the heal."

I look at the polls all the time [bad habit!] and after every event, it takes a while to be completely absorbed, and there are other issues I believe involving the logistics of polling.

Let's see the polls sometimes next week, if the debate gave Kerry a boost, by next Thursday we should see it.  Otherwise, it was a no event.

Please note the investors have to look into the future, and make an educated guess ... in certain industries heavily dependent on investment, things have been very depressed.
