more elementary school promises.  This sounds like:

"If I'm elected Class President, I will increase recess to 2 hours each!"

How about some facts, you know, "FACTS",  the "anathema" of the left.

Bush loves facts and truth about as much as Clinton loves slim women.  Kerry is full of faulty promises, and Bush is just one big faulty promise!!  Pick your poison!!

Bribri has only two speeds

Jerk and Knee Jerk

I personally prefer Jerk Chicken and Red Stripe!

a liberal!

Of fucking course you are a liberal.  I don't think, therefore I'm a democrat.  Democrat - liberal, liberal - democrat, same difference.

Kerry is a war hero, therefore I support him!  Oh, what about George H.W, Bush, Navy Distinguished Service Cross, shot down in the Pacific after he had delivered his package on target, while his plane was on fire, as the youngest pilot in the US Military during WWII.  No I want Willie, and I don't give a fuck that he was a draft dodger.  What about Bob Dole, 2 (real) Purple Hearts and Bronze Star, took three shots into his back and right arm while trying to save the life of a downed comrade, 8 surgeries and three years in the hospital to heal, a lifetime without the use of his right arm.  No, I want Willie.  Can you even say HYPOCRITE!

You complain about deficit spending, but since when are democrats against deficit spending?  Your big problem is that Bush didn't spend enough.

All the while you follow like a bunch of trained pigs this slacker Kerry who has accomplished NADA in his nearly 20 years in the Senate.  Not one piece of legislation with is name on it, and now you think he's the second coming!

I repeat, I don't think therefore I am a democrat!

very good at touting your own intellect.  Sadly, nobody else does.

If I had some, I'd tout it to the high heavens.

"Willie" did more for getting this country out of the shitter than any of those cronies you were blabbering about.  Sr. Bush was the precursor for the coming attraction we would be getting when his son Shrub stole the White House eight years later. The U.S. suffered enough before that with the vegetable Reagan in office from '81-89; I hate to think what direction the country would've headed in if the just as fossilized pineapple Dole would've been elected.  The only saving grace if the pineapple had been elected is that it most likely would've spared the entire country from the ineptitude of Dumbya.  Only Texas would be enduring his fuck ups right now.

As a sidenote, it doesn't matter to me in the least whether presidents or presidential candidates have served in the military.  Heroism and the ability to lead can be attained in many other areas besides just serving your country.  Military service can definitely be beneficial, but it's hardly a necessity.  Kerry's military recognitions don't factor in my decision to support him.  He's just so much better than "I'm George Dumbya Shrub, and I approved these lies".

Speaking of hypocrites, it always amazes me how the Republicans made a witch hunt out of a extra-marital BJ, yet see nothing wrong with what Nixon did with Watergate, or the treason Vegetable Reagan committed by trading arms for hostages.

I repeat, I am a hypocrite; therefore, I am a REPUBLICAN!!!

Joke of the Day:  Do you know why Republicans have to go commando?  Because they flip-flop so much.

BTW- Have I EVER dissed Bush I or Bob Dole as idiots here?

Both those guys were stand up guys. Their only mistakes were in kowtowing to their wacko Christo party wing. If they had held steady with their GOP centrist progressive roots, they might be held as great leaders and statesmen.  Perhaps BOTH two termers!

I once used to tell people I was a "Bush Republican" when he ran against Ronnie.  It stood for a certain intellectual approah to conservatism and foreign policy.  Boy did that go into the shitter.  Now it means you are a mental deficient!  How the mighty have fallen....

Throughout the 90's we heard over and over again how awful it was that Clinton was a draft dodger because he did what he had to do to avoid going to Vietnam and that GHW Bush and Dole were proud veterans.  Now GW Bush had daddy pull strings to get him into a "champagne" unit of the Air National Guard that assured that he had virtually no chance of going to Vietnam and Cheney used several student deferments since he did not want to go to Vietnam because he had "other priorities".  Meanwhile Kerry volunteered for 2 tours and was awarded 2 medals and 3 Purple Hearts.  Do you denounce "W" and Cheney as unworthy draft dodgers?

Pres. Carter was denounced by Republicans for his deficit spending which at least partially helped Reagan get elected.  The deficit soared under Reagan and GHW Bush and Republicans blamed the Democratic congress.  Clinton turned that around and actually ran a surplus so large that Greenspan testified that we were in danger of paying off the debt too fast.  Now that "W" with the Republican congress has reverted us back to the largest deficits ever, Republicans are no longer worried about it.  And you dare call liberals hypocrites!!!

Republicans accused Clinton of criminal activity in his involvement in Whitewater, but have no interest in investigating "W"'s involvement in Harken.  Hypocrites!

Republicans were outraged about FBI files ending up in the White House, but don't seem to care that a CIA agent was outed by someone in the White House.  Hypocrites!

Republicans were outraged about Sandy Berger removing documents from the National Archives, but have said nothing about Republican Senator Richard Shelby divulging to the media classified intercepted messages when he was on the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence.  Hypocrites!

I for one  hope this is true! We need an over-haul of our health care and I believe all of us Americans deserve affordable health care and Prescriptions,(especially the elderly). There are so many Americans who don't even have health insurance because their company doesn't offer it and they can't afford personal health insurace,or their company offers it but they can't afford to pay the deductable. So what do they do when they can't afford to go to the Drs. or pay for their prescriptions, many of them clog up the emergency rooms at hospitals knowing they will get billed and have no intention on paying the bill because who can afford to? At the hospital One tylenol aspirin cost $5.00!
The cost of prescriptions is outrageous! The prescription companies are making a furtune off of us, I believe we need someone to reform health care in our country we have too many children who don't get regular check-ups, get dental and eye examinations and believe it or not don't even vaccinated.
Hilary Clinton was supposed to reform health care...we all know that didn't happen...so hopefully this isn't another election "tell the people what they want to hear" to get elected and this is something that will happen.
I believe it can be done and I will believe John Kerry and John Edwards and hopefully this isn't another hot air balloon.

That all politicians make empty promises is one thing that you and I can agree on, Pappy. But please, I'd rather have the Bronx Cheer come from Jenna Bush.
