This was part of his inauguration speech .So in 3 plus years later, where are we? Has the bleeding stopped, or is the wound that much deeper? It seems like other countries have taken full advantage of us with trade and policy. It seems that now we're controlled by 4-5 countries that tell us how far or high to jump. The economy that trump inherited is sinking, along with a rising unemployment. The riots are on an upswing, Americans killing Americans. And with no end is sight.
His supporter are accepting trump as their new savior to point where I hate to use the word cult but....
So where are we, what's changed? Did the “The American carnage stops right here, right now,”  back on Jan 2017?

we are FAR worse off as a country.
After the Constitution was written, a woman asked Ben Franklin: "What kind of a country have you given us?" He replied, "A republic. If you can keep it."
Well, if we get another 4 years of Trump we may not be keeping this republic. I wish that was hyperbole but I don't think it is. Trump has shown us how fragile is the fabric of democracy.

Trump's only "plan" is probably to follow the Chinese plan. Approaching the Beijing Olympics, China used their "totalitarian plan" to displace poor people and "undesirables" from the areas surrounding the main venues and places that tourists would likely go. Tenements were torn down and people pushed far away, into oblivion. Some areas were boarded up or walled off to hide the shitholiness.

So that, I think, is Trump's as yet unimplemented plan: bulldoze people into the nearest ditch and cover them up with a new Trump Tower. See? No more shithole! Just a beautiful 68-story (or is it really only 58 stories?) golden tower!  Problem solved!
