Sorry Moosie, but as you can see we have yet another board troll

and as usual they can't stand it when other people are talking and not paying enough attention to them.

Yeah I was disappointed about the Niners too. You've probably forgotten, but I was born and raised in Bay Area, and I actually went to see them back in the old Kezar stadium, Yes I am THAT old, but I was a little kid then. lol

and yes, I absolutely detest the religious right, but IMO ACA was the worst piece of legislation since the Patriot Act, and holding my nose and voting for Romney came down to that single issue. Not that I would have voted for Obama under any circumstances, but if not for the Obamacare issue I would have simply stayed at home. Listening to the likes of Todd Akin and even the socially conservative Ryan was enough that I had to use two clothespins before casting my ballot.

Sorry about the little gnat buzzing around our conversation, but P&R has always had trolls, this one is just particularly annoying. He can't stand it that I won't engage him directly, so this is his way of trying to get my attention. You know, just like all the other trolls that have preceded him.

Nice try, attmept to take away 3 seats on the nations second most powerful court...I'm sure had Romney won the election last Nov, Mr Grassley would not be looking to remove seats from the powerful DC Circuit Court of Appeals..

President Obama still has not had a confirmation to this court, though based on last Wed's hearing, Sri Srinivasan will be confirmed in the coming months...

I just wonder how long it will be before you too are labeled as a "righty retard" for having a civil convesation with me??? lol

At least you should be happy that this board has taken a hard left turn since you were here last, but it's nice to see you here.

Are you still a fan of your Obamessiah? Or has the reality finally taken the luster off the hype? Surely your hopes of him being somehow different that other politicians have been dashed? You remember all that talk about transparency, and all the other promises that went by the wayside?

One of the realities I don't think either of us were expecting is that just like Bush spent like a Dem, Obama, in the name of law and order, seems to be ok with trampling the Bill of Rights almost as badly as a Republican.

AAR nice to see you here.

I guess you would disagree if a told you i think President Obama is a moderate...He is the first full term of Gerald Ford....Moderate judicial nominations, (except for Goodwin Liu who was filibustered), moderate HCR, moderate on just about every issue there is...Like Bill Maher says "The Democrats have moved to the center, and the right has moved to the insane asylum"..

I really never did think Obama was going to be a savior..I would have been content if Hillary would have won the nomination and subsequently the general election...Thankfully John Edwards didn't come out on top in the 2008 primary, we'd probably have the 2nd term of John McCain now, lol...

I believe you are socially liberal, yet i know i had a hellva time in the past trying to convince you to vote Democratic (though i DO remember you saying you voted for Clinton in 1996 because you thought he wasn't fucking things up)...How's that for a good memory...If you're no fan of the religious right, then you shouldn't be voting Republican...

On unrelated sports note, im disappointed my 49ers lost that Super Bowl, they forgot how to play defense in the playoffs...They made some nice moves in the offseason though, should be right there next season...I dont recall if you're a Falcons fan, or are you fan of another team(s)?...

I can honestly say i never heard of Kezar Stadium....I had thought the 49ers played at Candlestick since they came into the league, as they're not one of the older franchises (ie; Bears, Giants, Packers, etc)....I do remember though i was a kid, OJ Simpson played for SF in his final NFL season...

I vaguely remember seeing the 'Bay city bombers" skating right across the street back when I was a pre teen, which of course is the only excuse for watching roller derby or pro wrestling. lol

AAR good to see you back. I had issues with management and quit posting here for quite some time. I also let my VIP lapse, but I will renew it and I will be able to get PM's once again.

around the time of the LA Chargers (before they moved to SD)..Didn;t know SF formed in the 1940's..

I let my VIP lapse while back..

The link contains one of my favorite SF games, most people think of "The Catch" game but this one was almost as good...Especially since SF was the underdog in this game...

Believe it or not, the 49's were the first "major" sports team on the west coast. Before the Giants and Dodgers came west, and before any other major team started "out west"

I am still a 49rs fan, but I will confess, it's been tough to be a Raiders fan for quite some time now. That team has been so mismanaged for years it's tough to root for them, and truth be told I no longer do. it's a lot easier to root with my wallet, I don't really have any allegiance to any sports team, but I like it when the 49rs do well

but wasn't big fan either (Celtics and Packers are only teams i really Dislike in sports)...i did root for the Raiders in their early 80's heydays w/Plunket and Coach Flores...
