to allow people the FREEDOM to decide if they will belong to a UNION.

If find the Democratic stand on this totally indefensible. Really, arguing against FREEDOM?

Why traditional Republican states are poorer than the national average and why are they NET beneficiaries of Federal tax dollars.

What could they gain, other than a compleate shut down when there is a strike.

The nonunion workers are more than likely the minority, and would not be able to keep production running. With out the majority of union workers.

The bill sounds anti-labor/worker.

They're just manipulated, the reporting system is false. There is no offical count of the actual numbers.

You would understand this if you had some real world experience.----Laffbaugh

The company I worked for before getting laid off had two groups of employees, union and non-union. Both groups were flyers. I was in the non-union group. Three times a vote was made to join, but it was turned down every time. We had better pay and benefits than the union group. The company and union got together, and determined both groups were the same class and craft. The non-union group was "PUT' into the union group, without a vote. This involved going to the bottom of the seniority list, disregarding the company date of hire. It also involved a pay cut, reduction in some benefits, paying union dues,(some of which were used to donate to a political party I DID NOT support), and a lay off when the company started downsizing. Since my group was senior by date of hire, but junior on the union list, we went first. So much for union support. But this is probably an atypical case...or not.

Blue "states" LOVE to take credit for what their red taxpayers pay.

If you want to talk about that, start a new thread.

My question was "Why is right to work state a bad thing"

Glad to see you agreed with me on that.

However, when you do start that new thread, here is a great place to start. What states have the most moochers...

(1) CA - Dark Blue
(2) ME - Dark Blue
(3) TN - Red
(4) MA - Dark Blue
(5) VT - Dark Blue
(6) DC - Dark Blue
(7) NY - Dark Blue
(8) MN - Dark Blue
(9) WA - Dark Blue
(10) NM - Purple (Swing State)
(11) IN - Red (but decreasing every year with Daniel's guidance)
(12) RI - Dark Blue
(13) MI - Blue
(14) PA - Blue
(15) OR - Dark Blue

Run Down:
12 of top 15 are Blue states
10 of the top 15 are Far Left Blue States
Only one red state in top 10 (2 in all of the two 15)
One purple swing state!
