practice to blame an AUTHOR when the publisher makes a mistake in the editing or printing of a book?  When you get down to this kind of nit-picking, you give cred to the Trumps, because readers will think if you had anything on them that was important or valid you would have said THAT rather than THIS non-issue.

http://www.theguardian.com/books/2020/jul/13/donald-trump-jrs-new-anti-biden-book-misplaces-apostrophe-in-title
"According to Axios, Trump Jr is self-publishing the new book as “a shot across the bow” to traditional publishers, and “partnered” on it with the Trump Victory Finance Committee’s chief of staff, Sergio Gor."
.
http://www.thebusinesslitigators.com/libel-vs-slander-vs-defamation-what-are-the-differences.html
"Libel and slander are types of defamatory statements. Libel is a defamatory statement that is written. Slander is a defamatory statement that is oral."
.
Without publishing house staff (and lawyers) to check and proof the content, I wonder if there will be lawsuits. So many Trump and Trump Jr. claims about Biden have zero evidence to back them up (and there is often evidence to contredict those claims) . I think it will be easy pickings to prevail in court. And since there is no big publisher involved, Trump Jr. alone will be liable for the libel.
.
I predict, at trial:
Lawyer: And just what is the evidence to back up the claim on page 37?
Trump Jr.: The President of the United States said so, so it must be true.
L: ... page 43?
T: Rudy Giuliani told me so, so it must be true.
L: ... page 56?
T: POTUS
L: ... page 64?
T: Rudy
L: ... page 67?
T: POTUS. ... No, Rudy.

First of all, self-publishing is the last resort of losers who can't find a legitimate publisher interested in their work. But while self-publishing DOES include some services, like proof-reading, they are typically shoddy and the author should know better than to trust them and do some proofing himself.
I guess Don, Jr. is too busy waiting hand and foot on the heinous Kimberly Guilfoyle to have the time for that.

Oh shit, I fell into Cur-de-Liar's trap again!!  He posted without a link just to trap me as he said here:
"I have more fun . . . .
and get bigger meltdowns from BPOS when I post without the link first, so he can say I'm full of bullshit.  Then I ram the link up his fat ass.  Its a hoot to watch him lose his marbles."

http://www.washingtonpost.com/graphics/politics/2016-election/trump-lies/
(For those who can't access or, maybe, read WaPo, here are quotes.)
"... But in this deposition more than eight years earlier, Trump was blaming her [McIver] for a mistake in one of his own books, “How to Get Rich.” In the 2004 book, co-written with McIver, Trump described his massive debt load during a low period in the early 1990s. “I owed billions upon billions of dollars — $9.2 billion to be exact,” the book said as it retold the story of his rise back to success.  The depth of that financial hole made it seem even more impressive that Trump had climbed out again. But the figure was wrong. His actual debts had been much less.

“I pointed it out to the person who wrote the book,” Trump said, meaning McIver.

“Right after she wrote the book?”

“That’s correct,” Trump said.

Then the lawyer showed Trump another book he’d written with McIver, three years later.

“In fact, I was $9 billion in debt,” Trump read aloud. A similar error, repeated. It was McIver’s fault again.

“She probably forgot,” Trump said.

***** “And when you read it, you didn’t correct it?” *****

***** “I didn’t see it,” Trump said. *****

“You didn’t see it.”

“I read it very quickly,” Trump said about a book he was credited with writing."
...
"[The lawyer questioning Trump said,] “You wrote, ‘O’Brien . . . threatened sources by telling them he can, quote, settle scores with enemies by writing negative articles about them,’ ” Ceresney asked, reading Trump’s words from a legal complaint. “What was the basis for that statement?”

“Just my perception of him,” Trump said. “I don’t know that he indicated anything like that to me, but I think he probably did indirectly.”"

[What next, "Joe Biden murdered my father by shoving an icepick into his ear. And he kills babies and eats them." And what is the basis for that statement, Mr. Trump? "Just my perception of him."]

"The most striking example was a question at the very heart of the legal case: What was Trump’s actual net worth?

Trump had told O’Brien he was worth up to $6 billion. But the lawyers confronted him with other documents — from Trump’s accountants and from outside banks — that seemed to show the real figure was far lower.

The lawyers asked: “Have you ever not been truthful” about your net worth?

Trump’s answer here was that the truth about his wealth was — in essence — up to him to decide."

I thought it was the publisher's fault. That's what they told us when 0bama's book said he was born in Kenya.

this doo doo, to think first and then post AFTER he has gathered some intelligible thought?  We both know, from his previous posts,  that is not going to happen.  Maybe the same standard we apply to barely literate people is a bit strict for him.  Please consider lowering your standards, even more for this, not so intelligent poster.
