Shooting at Ohio frat house kills 1, hurts 11
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — Two men angry over a dispute at an Ohio fraternity house party left the gathering and returned early Sunday, spraying bullets into a crowd and killing a Youngstown State University student, authorities said. Eleven other people were injured, including a 17-year-old with a critical head wound.

It is said guns don't kill but people with guns do.    Well, if people don't have guns they cannot kill!   Is this a rocket science to figure it out.

who don't want to make anyone accountable for anything.

If we have a "real" death penalty in this country and actually executed people in a reasonable amount of time, people would think twice before they did this crap.

But instead some sad liberal is going to cry foul because the perp was raised in the absolutely perfect environment.

So your solution, penalize all the law abaiding citizens along with those who break the law.

HOW STUPID IS THAT!!!

The capitalist class cannot be trusted to properly use the death penalty. Society ends up executing innocent citizens.

this is life.

If you want perfection, get a Visa to Shangrila. Otherwise, time to grow up...

I like the link. I think that people should be responsible for their own self defense. Why wait for the capitalist justice system to prevent crime when you can prevent it yourself?

So people kill with impunity because they know that if caught, they'll be able to live the luxe life of a death row inmate in a spacious state facility that spares no expense to provide comfortable accommodations.  But if we start strapping people in and flipping the switch immediately, the murders stop.  Interesting observation.

You're not alone, Snowman. It made me sick to my stomach too when those liberal bastards wrote due process into the Constitution.  Made me downright ill when they mandated that we create a goddamn Supreme Court for people to appeal to.  Can you fucking imagine?  I mean I wasn't around a couple hundred years ago to see it happen, but what a clusterfuck it must have been, right?  Due process?  A Supreme Court??  HOW STUPID IS THAT!!!

If you consider 15 years, due process, it must take you ywo weeks once you sit on the toilet to finish a crap.

Read your histry books. We have morphed out "justice" system into a "legal" system. Huge difference.

I never said get rid of the courts, I said fix them!!!

Never ever ever ever ever ever ever touch a firearm if you are not completely sober. If you're drunk, high, or hell, even emotional or upset, you don't touch a firearm. If you plan to get intoxicated, you unload all nearby firearms, put the ammo in a different room, and lock up your guns.

I disagree Snow. I think there's been plenty of studies done that shows that the death penalty does not act as a deterant for people who are committing crimes. The simple reality is that crazy people do crazy things, especially in the heat of the moment. Often they don't have the wherewithall to think rationally enough about consequences at all. If they could, then they wouldn't commit the crime in the first place.

as such the death penalty is very effective  political tool "dead men tell no tales".

those "studies" you cite are based on our current death penalty laws. Everyone knows that if you kill someone, the state will take 15-20 years to execute you.

I feel confident in saying your studies would be differnt if we actually had a real death penalty in this country.

...how many people do you think have been killed during the "heat of the moment"? Say some woman comes home and finds her hubby in bed with a provider. She pulls a gun and kills them both. If she had any ability at that moment to think rationally, she would have thought, "I'm going to get all of his stuff when the divorce happens". Instead she ends up on death row. People aren't thinking rationally to begin with when they're committing a serious crime. So why in the hell would executing more people fix this?

Look at the state of Texas. They do have a real death penalty. They execute more people than any other government not only in the United States, but in the Western Hemisphere. Guess what? Texas still has one of the highest murder rates in the country.

using your train of thought, we should take away everyone's car. How stupid is that.

No, we take away their right to drive, and convicted felons do not have the right to own a gun.

Willy, this is pretty simple stuff.  Why do liberals always want to punish everyone for the crimes of the few. BTW, why don't you do a little research about how many people are saved each you beacuse they actually had a gun.

Oh, I forfot, liberals only like to look at one side of the argument.

Give me fucking break. I get drunk all the time, and I "always" have at least one loaded firearm within reach, I don't carry a firearm while clubbing, but I always have one in the car. I have never had the slightest urge, not once in my entire life to misuse a firearm simply because I was drunk.

and do you really get so fucked up that you can't unlock the guns, find the ammo, and still do whatever stupid shit you were planning to do with your weapons? Wow you must get really, really fucked up, this explains a lot about you. rofl

I suspect that what you consider "drunk" is not what he is talking about. I've known heavy drinkers that can drive a car without a hitch after consuming the same amount of alcohol that makes me unable to walk. You are describing intoxication where your mental abilities are not yet impaired.

By definition, when you drink so much that your physical and mental abilities become impaired, you have got no business having a firearm in reach, even if you have unblemished record of firearm safety. It is not a question of urges and intent but of actual mental impairment.

Of course, I don't think you guys should have them while you are sober either.

For discussion sake, let's say that the SCOTUS, at a future date rules that the individual ownership and possession of ALL types of firearms is forbidden. The Second Amendment goes out the window. Law enforcement and the military are the only ones authorized to be armed, and then only while actually performing their duties. My question is, what happens in our society then? Is violent crime eliminated, or even drastically reduced? Or do we become like the UK, Canada, and Australia, where crime against private citizens has increased because they can no longer defend themselves, and the criminals know this, and use it to full advantage?

And usually it's homebrew wine when I do. As a general rule, I avoid making any decision that could be even remotely important when I'm not sober. I don't spend money. I don't get behind the wheel. And I don't handle my guns.

and a bit extreme, wouldn't you say?

I mean do you really get so fucked up that you can't remember where you hid your guns and/or ammo? Or do you get so wasted that you can't figure out how to use the key? rofl

I might be on the other extreme, I often find it necessary to do business while "under the influence". It really is true that some people want to see how you act when inebriated before entrusting you with millions of dollars. I don't know if its a fair test, but I do know it happens, and in my world it happens quite often.

You are intentionally trying to make Liberals look bad.  I'm not complaining, if that's your trip.  I'm just saying the Left isn't this brain dead, even to many on the opposite side of the fence.
