The leader of Hezbollah, perhaps the most powerful terrorist group in the Mid-East, was killed in an Israeli air strike yesterday. After the Israelis killed other Hezbollah leaders last week along with the many operatives killed and disabled in the pager/walkie-talkie bombings days earlier, Hezbollah is leaderless.
So what next? My guess is a ground incursion to destroy Hezbollah's Lebanon missile stash and other weapons. Otherwise, the job isn't done.
Also, Yahya Sinwar, the head of Hamas can't be sleeping well. Neither are the Ayatollahs. Their two biggest proxies have been neutered.

That seems like a perfect job for an airstrike, no? The risk of human loss from a ground invasion is massive for them one would think. Not one they would lose but they have just been through a lot in Gaza. Arent they war weary and tired at this point?
.
How concerned are you that Iran, with its proxies you mentioned, along with the Houthis, and possibly Turkey (although them entering this fray is doubtful) launch such a massive air attack against Israel that it overwhelms the Iron Dome? This really has the potential now for a massive regional war as Iran, Hezbollah and Hamas have all been humiliated. Do they do something to save face with the more radical part of the Muslim world?
.
In any case, this, along with Putin's ever increasing nuclear saber rattling, is getting very dangerous and one step closer to WW3 which is terrifying.

And no doubt that will continue. What I'm saying is they need boots on the ground to be sure of getting rid of it all. So that's my assumption and we'll see if I'm right.
PS: Turkey will never become part of a war with Israel. They are a moderate Islamic regime and part of NATO. They want no part of this. As for the Houthis, they are relatively weak, with only a few missiles to launch over a great distance. And there's lots of US air power available to shoot said missiles down right off their shores.
The real question is what will Iran do? That's the wild card. So, yes, things are at a dangerous pass.

From the Times of Israel:

"A surface-to-surface ballistic missile launched at central Israel from Yemen Saturday evening was shot down by air defenses “outside the country’s borders,” the IDF said in a statement.

The missile caused sirens to sound in central Israel due to fears of falling shrapnel. Its remains fell near the Jerusalem-area community of Tzur Hadassah, causing slight damage, police said.

The missile was shot down with the Arrow long-range missile defense system, which is designed to take out ballistic missiles while they are still outside the atmosphere."

President Joe Biden told confidantes and allies this week that he did not believe that Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu wanted a halt to hostilities with Hezbollah, expressing increasing frustration as a proposed cease-fire plan fell apart, according to two people familiar with the conversations.

One person who spoke with Biden said the president felt Netanyahu had humiliated both Secretary Antony Blinken and Biden himself with his back-and-forth about a cease-fire proposal with Hezbollah

but don't forget Bibi will probably be convicted of corruption. He also is guilty of security lapses on his watch that led to the Oct. 7 massacre.
He should rot in hell.

It doesn’t matter whether Ukraine or Russia is right. Arming the Ukrainians isn’t worth risking Russia use of nuclear weapons.

If you are worried about Iran maybe Biden’s shouldn’t have lifted the sanctions

And that's Israel. Sadly, because Trump backed out of the Iran nuclear deal, Teheran may soon have a nuke, too.
Thanks, Don. Greatest deal-maker on the planet. NOT.

The Financial Times reports that in the days after October 7, Israeli warplanes took off to kill Nasrallah but the mission was stopped after the White House demanded it be called off.

If it gets down to it,  Israel will do something one way or another, which I suspect will involve very some large explosions.

The reason iran is close to getting a nuke is biden removed/relaxed/not enforcing the (Trump imposed) sanctions on iran. Now without the sanctions biden  then allowed iran to get $billions$ to work on their nuke program as well as finance arm and support all their proxy terrorist groups, which are causing all the shit going on over there now.

So a very sincere thanks to biden from the ayatollah and his goons.

That is a fact  deny it lie about it but biden has fuck it up

Noooo he's exactly right. Joe Joe the Potato allowed Iran to sell oil to the tune of 60 Billion dollars a years when Trump had em squeezed down to roughly 2 Billion a year. What's matter Icky D? The Truth Hurt?
