Once a year, every masonic lodge/temple in the country has an open house open to the public.

Just go in and ask any questions you may have. Then if you still want to join, ask.

Of course, you don't have to wait for the open house.

A lot of people outright advertise that they are masons by putting the symbol on their vehicles; and some even make it more clear with a sticker that says "To be one, ask one."

Naturally, as a member of the Illuminati, I will keep a very close eye on your progress.

You can go up through the 32nd degree of masonry and never learn a damned thing about the real secrets. You'll mostly just learn useless junk.

BUT ... if you demonstrate certain ... inclinations ... you may then be initiated into the true Mysteries.

I have my grandfather's bedazzled Potentate hat. It's hilarious to wear at parties.
