I am done.

After what I heard in the last few days from these GODDAMN Republicans I am DONE with them! These people are the most disgusting, repulsive, lying, un-American, pigs on the face of the earth!

I am sick of all the GODDAMN defense of these EVIL motherfuckers! I am so sick to my stomach that they would even suggest that NOBODY should EVEN ASK the question about how THEY GOT US INTO this war! THEY ARE PIGS! THEY ARE DISGUSTING, MOTHERFUCKING PIGS!

I am finished with all of them! I am NOT kidding! All the GODDAMN APOLOGISTS are THE SAME as THEM in my mind! THE SAME disgusting, immoral, authoritarian, blood-lusting, motherfuckers! And I do not want ANYTHING to do with ANYBODY who still condones this crazy bullshit anymore! I DO NOT WANT TO BE ASSOCIATED! It makes me feel FILTHY, GROSS and ILL! Just talking to them makes me want to take a shower to WASH OFF THE BULLSHIT!

THAT IS IT! I am about to dissolve all of my ties to anybody who still apologizes and DENIES that all this shit happened and IS happening. They ALL LIVE IN A GODDAMN FANTASY LAND and will believe ANYTHING they are told by this crowd! Hitler would have LOVED THEM!

The FACTS are just simply THE FACTS! They cannot even agree on THE FACTS because these FREAKS believe ANY spin that is thrown at them by the damn wing-nut machine! Most do NOT EVEN crack open a GODDAMN NEWSPAPER! Why do I even talking to them? They are FREAKS!

As far as I am concerned, they can go and march in line with their goose-stepping, brainwashed, Christian brethren SHEEPLE straight to the HELL the believe in so much! I will not listen to  them try to defend this SHIT to me anymore! They can all go talk to their God and try to convince him of this crazy BULLSHIT! I WILL NOT hear it anymore! It makes me want to PUKE!

I do not believe in hell or heaven -- I believe in doing what is RIGHT and GOOD and JUST and TELLING THE TRUTH -- that includes telling the truth to MYSELF! They all should try that on for a change.

I have HAD IT with them! They repulse me.

Is this considered :

1. a rant ;
2. a flame ;
3. both ;
4. neither?

Can't say as I blame yer, but why voluntarily give up so many fat, easy, and [very best of all] deserving targets?

I found a great quote on the web:

"....The GOP's defense of the Iraqi War is like the minister, who notes in the margin of his sermon: Argument is weak here...Shout loudly and pound podium..."

At the present rate, however, many of these GOPers may find themselves in federal lockup, only able to make noise by rattling the bars of their cage with their tin cups.

Maybe, but I REALLY LIKED his analogy to the minister with the weak sermon a little later in the thread.  There is a similar one for attorneys, but it's too long and i'm too lazy...

Gotta admit, I enjoyed reading that.  Don't agree altogether, but I do think it was really fresh.

But here's my question: what obligation do we have to the Iraqi people? I mean, as a result of our actions, what, 25K of them have died already?  I'm guessing on the numbers, but they are in the ballpark.  And don't we have a responsibility to reasonably assure there won't be a bloodbath when we leave?

Now, I don't pretend to know how to measure this objective, but I think it's the right one.  Forget  who voted for whom or why.  We did this; we've got to own the mess, if we can.

So I share your outrage.  I am ashamed Bush is a person we could ever consider electing and now he's been in 2x.  Wow, wow, wow.

...the U.S. thinking that it can 'fix' things in Iraq with some masterstroke, is not unlike Hamlet thinking he could set things to right by killing Claudius.

The U.S. can stay in Iraq and there will be civil war, or can leave and there will be civil war.

Or as a Marine officer quoted by James Fallows in his current Atlantic Monthly article puts it, "We can lose in Iraq and destroy our Army, or we can just lose."

the US military machine can beat anything except its own leadership.   American politicians do not seem to understand the limits and costs of military force.
