liberal talk radio is a great idea and the radio personalities put forth a valiant effort but the executives seem to have bungled the business side.  A company run irresponsibly is going to fail no matter what their political views are.  Maybe syndication (like the right wing lunatics Rush, Savage, etc.) would have been a better business model for AAR.  I don't blame them for trying though.

They are trying to start an entire nationallt syndicated radio network from nothing. They need lots of money and lots of time to be successfull at that.

so have several others. It's not that difficult if you know what you are talking about and can back up your arguments.

Face it, it's the message that does not resonate!!

their message was so depressing anyone who listened very long killed themselves or ended up on sedatives and eb=veryone knows you cant take sedatives and drive....pretty stupid, huh?

No, Rush Limbaugh never accomplished what Air America is doing to create a complete network of programming. Limbaugh does three hours a day. Air america does 19 hours a day.  Limbaugh also didn't build a nationwide network of radio stations. His show is syndicated by Premiere Radio Networks which has a network of 5000 stations.

Just because he calls it the "EIB Network" does not make it an actual Network. He has a show that is syndicated nationally -- it is not the same as a "Faux" network or a "Clear Channel" network ... it is very different. Plus Rush Limbaugh took a long time to become as successful as he is.

Air America is attemping to start a major radio network with many personalities and many shows from scratch -- in many cases with personalities who are only known in one or a few markets that they try to launch nationally over-night. It takes a lot of money and a lot of time.

BTW, I would have thought that you use a different aguement for Rush than "he backs up his arguements"...I nearly spit my food out in laughter when I read that. It is a joke for you to even say that. He talks out of his ass all day long and gullable people like you believe it.

Many of you seem to be true believers in the socialist utopia ideas presented by the left and you seem to be a rather hard workers- based on the number, length and intensity of your posts.  That makes me think that, possibly, if you were given concepts and then shown data that back up the concepts--- some of you might become--  REPUBLICANS!

Now the challenge-  read Milton Friedman's Free to Choose  and Ann Coulter's TREASON and, if possible, listen to Rush Limbaugh for 30 minutes    a day for one week.  Then see what you think after that.

As for AAR; why would anyone listen to that when they have abc, nbc, cbc and cnn?

Plus, Al Franken is boring.  That's another reason why no-one listens to him.  Glen Beck interviewed him and was struck by how arrogant, condescending and elitist Franken is.

the first thing that comes out of the loudest mouth must be true.  It's obvious that Clinton is gay - I don't know why it took Ann so long to figure it out.

Social Utopia Ideas presented on the left? I have never heard anything like that ever on Air America or anywhere else -- only from you rightees.

I used to listened to Rush back when I was an independent who voted more for Republicans (back in the 80's). Rush was actually one of the first who started to repulse me with the Republican party. He was the beginning of the divisiveness. Since then his tone and level of nonsense and fabrications have become synonymous with the right. I have moved further away with each step in that direction.

Now maybe you can listen to Al, Sam, Rachel or even Randi for 30 minutes once a week and maybe you will deprogram yourself from the rightwing Dogma that has brianwashed you so thoroughly. You seem to believe in anything they tell you. Also you might find out that they are not Commies and have never said anything approaching a "socialist utopia".

he stirs up fights, so people kill each other off - or at least stay at arm's length and reduce breeding.

Absolutely necessary - the better we get along, the tighter we get packed, the more fights become inevitable.

Rush and the GOP are just trying to save our national parks from development.

Course I'd like to see them sacrifice themselves, but that's another story.

because independent stations actually wanted to air his program. HELL,THEY EVEN PAID HIM FOR THE PRIVALEDGE.

The fact is, if a single one of the shows on Air UnAmerica was worth a damn, a syndicator would pick it up.

Maybe someone needs to clue Al Franken in!! Allow me...

HEY AL, YOU AREN'T GETTING PAID BECAUSE YOUR SHOW SUCKS ;-)
