Has there been any Independent confirmation of these charges.  Independent confirmation of what other enemy-combatants have told the Justice Department and the Military?  Like with the Iraq war, we are told to blindly believe what our government says because they would not dare to lie to its citizens.

 Today, Ashcroft told a Senate panel that this administration does not torture.  If not for last week's leaked memo, Americans would not know of Ashcrofts lawyers trying to find loopholes and exploit them in the Geneva Covention and other war covenents.  As pictures have shown, Ashcrofts statements and actions are diametrically opposite.

Remember, don't question anything this administration does.  Its
one of our rights that Ashcroft and this administration still affords us.  Now when you question Bush's Administation policies, you are characterized as unpatriotic and helping our enemy, not that you are persuing on of our Great country's basic rights.

Well, of course you don't know if the charges against Jose Padilla have any validity, and aren't likely to with George W. as President. Ashcroft released their "star chamber" report as a press release to convince the Supreme Court into letting them hold and "interrogate" American citizens indefinitely.

I don't know about George W.'s marginal success with Al Qaida, Taliban etc., but he sure has managed to bring the U.S. Constitution to its knees. And for that George W. I've got to hand it to you: this Bud's for you!
