Please, you can do better than that can't you?  Why not quote something from moveon.org's website?  If you are going to accuse someone of something, at least use a reliable source.  Don't fall into the same trap that Dan Rather has fallen into.

But you asked me if I remember Newt?  What would you like to know about him?  I actually met him once.  I used to work on the hill (for a congressman from northern CA in a very heavy Democratic district)  Why is this important?  I knew many people in Newt's office & in GOPAC.

So what's your point?  That he was partisian?  Sure he was, when I knew him that was his job, he was the Rep. whip.  He was partly responsible for the GOP takeover of congress in '94..... but with that being said it would have never have happened if Bill Clinton wasn't in the White House..... and lucky for us that Bill rolled over when the house changed sides... anyway I digress.

Was he partisian?  I will concede that point - and I will concede that freely.  Is he of the same ilk as the current batch of Democrats, I think that would be a much harder argument to make.

To further that point, I think that he pales in comparison to the tricks that Kerry, his staff, Sandy B., James Carville oh man don't get me on a roll here, hundreds of others do in the Democratic camp.

So again, I will state what's your point?  I stand by my statement that the Dem's are much more petty, calculating, narrow minded and like nothing more than to obfusticate the truth.

So if you would like to have some truth be known about GOPAC, let me know I will tell you all you would like to know (albit 2nd hand).

True - without the central overriding ideas of screwing the poor at home, promoting business all over and bullying overseas, that make the GOP so unified, Dem politicos tend to use all the political avenues to accomplish their "herding cats" mission.

And since your statement so clearly applies to all politicians, I guess I missed your point entirely.
