What Hitler and his allies stood for, was ugly racism, which if we had let it stand, would have destroyed our own country as well.  

Most of us in the U.S. have European roots, but could you imagine if we wanted to start separating the races what it would have led to? Civil War has 600,000 casualties ...  do you want to visualize how destructive overt racism could be to the roots of our country?

Those of us who have at least an ounce of civility, have been fighting racism with all of our might, because survival of our country depends on it.

What does racism have to do with my post on WW2?? Did you even read the article? We didn't have to join in ww2, noble act or not, and we could have ended it in days if we had wanted...

because my 'original thoughts' rarely get posted. Telling someone to have an open mind gets moderated, why bother taking the time to reply when the most simple, non threatening or non insulting post fails to appear.
