Uh- both Saddam and Khomeini were fuckin' morons?  That's what I got out of it.   And that the US is as self serving and two faced as any other country.

  If US troops pull out, Iran is planning on moving in.  And since Iraq is about to become a democracy, no doubt the Iraqi people will demand we pull the hell out.  But if Iran is getting ready to set up shop in Iraq, we can't pull out.  Iran knows we can crush them in the blink of an eye.  Oh but the hatred and extremism would increase 1000 fold if we got involved in another war, specially with Iran.  And that precisely may be the card Iran is playing with such moves.  
   What a tangled web we weave when a neocon and a dumbass president seeks to deceive.

Read a Book by Dilip Hiro on Gulf war between Iraq and Iran.  Just finished- might be called longest war.
