But Trump has not done ANYTHING yet.  He ha NO ATHORITY to do anything yet!  He is not yet the President!  Wait to see what he does or more likely fail to do, when he has to deal with 535 members of Congress that have different ideas on how to do things!

Last night the Carrier union leader also backed down re: his Trump comments.

I will be interested to see how the Dems strategy will play out bc if they don't change, Trump will take a MUCH bigger % of the union vote four years hence.

If the Republicans truly have their way, there will not be a "union vote" to take a percentage of in 4 years.  As it stands now, only 11% (and slowly, but surely declining) of workers are unionized.  Republicans would love to see unions, and subsequently collective bargaining, go the way of the dinosaurs...extinction.

But its not just Republicans, as approval for labor unions has gone down dramatically over the last 60-70 years. The corruption of unions, along with the ridiculous work place rules, have soured many Americans on unions.

Personally, I have much less problem with private sector unions then the public sector. As stated before, it puts Dems in an untenable position of having to care for the union members who voted for them and balance that with the rights of the taxpayer.

But unions, and more importantly the wider middle class, will be watching Trump very closely over the next four years. If he improves their economic lives, he will be their champion.

...if you had any facts, you might actually know his name rather than pull a statement out of your ass.  Chuck Jones was on TV last night at 10 PM Eastern time and wasn't backing down.

...He stuck to his guns and said the number of jobs "saved" was 800, not 1,100.  Trump lied his ass off and lumped in the 300 managerial jobs that were staying to make the number look bigger.

If you think Americans aspire to have a net worth of 50K, then this country is for shit.  It's your party that deludes people into thinking they all could be rich and then they wind up "counting on their Social Security."  If I had a net worth of only 50K, I'd feel like a fucking failure.  My net worth goes up 50K several times a year.  But I'm sure you're quite content to be a Fifty Thousand-aire.
