ask him to fire the B-I-L, neither did Todd ask him. According to Monegan, he says he "felt pressured" to do so, but nobody asked him to do it. He didn't do it, nor did anyone else. The screwball BIL is still toting a firearm and is a lawsuit waiting to happen.

How can anyone prove that Monegan felt pressure?

I'd say you have the interesting source: i.e. your vivid imagination.

Lberal press  needs to state it right her lawyers said it is unlikely that Palin will cooperate.
This is standard .

A Friday hearing revealed that a Democratic partisan who is actively supporting Barack Obama’s candidacy had manipulated an independent investigator’s Stephen Branchflower’s subpoena list as reported here by Townhall.

MSM showed everyone in the world how much partisan and untrustworthy they are.

Print media such as Washington Post and NY Times are only wrapping dead fish and there are many more across the country like them.

The so called reputed anchors (or they claim to be) are nothing more than Jerry Springer and the like. This includes the famous Oprah in my book.

Left wing bloggers, entirely another story. Sole objective is to promote hate, bigotry, lies and what not.

Who in the media crusade general public can trust? NO ONE.

I'm not familiar with Townhall, but I am familiar with the contributing writers they list on their homepage which I believe are all pretty conservative including the lovely and talented Ann Coulter who remarked of the 9-11 widows that she had never seen women who were enjoying the deaths of their husbands as much as they were.  Lovely.

What we do know about trooper gate is this:

1. Palin initially agreed to cooperate with the investigation - until she was nominated for VP

2. The REPUBLICAN led committee voted to authorize the investigation on a vote that was 12-0.

3. The group that authorized the subpoena list is made up of five people - 3 republicans and 2 democrats, they voted for the subpoenas 3-2.

4. All of the stuff that Palin accuses her brother in law of doing were things that happened YEARS before she asked for him to be fired and for things that he was disciplined for.

Information is power, my brothers...

Harry my friend,

I heard Monegan interviewed on the radio yesterday and what he said was that it's true that neither Palin nor her husband said the words, "you have to fire that officer" he did say there was a constant stream of phone calls and emails that made it clear what they were after.  In his opinion, they abused their power.

Add to this the shifting rationale that has been given for Monegan's firing and you begin to see that something just isn't right about the Palin version(s) of what's happened:

1. Palin is now claiming that Monegan was fired because of insubordination on budget issues.  Apparently he was pushing for something frivolous like going after child molesters.

2. So let's say the budget insubordination is true.  I'll even give that to you.  Only back in July Palin said she fired Monegan because she was dissatisfied with his performance on filling vacant trooper positions and on bootlegging and alcohol abuse issues.  Funny how she never mentioned the budget stuff back then.

3.However about the same time Palin said that she actually hadn't fired Monegan, but that  had wanted to reassign him to combat alcohol abuse, and that he quit instead.

Combine that with the fact that initial Palin said no one in her office had exerted pressure to fire Mike Wooten (the trooper in question). But after a tape surfaced of Palin aide Frank Bailey raising the issue with a trooper official in a phone call, Palin backtracked and admitted that "pressure could have been perceived to exist."

She also at first said that she had never contacted Monegan about Wooten except to expressing concerns about the safety of her family. But The Washington Post  just published emails sent by Palin to Monegan in which she expressed frustration that Wooten was still on the job.

Now I'm happy to be proven wrong and keep an open mind about this, but none of that stuff is in my imagination and I'm happy to give you links for all of it.

Don't you agree with the unanimous decision of the 12 REPUBLICANS and Democrats who agreed that this should at least be investigated?
