These polls certainly aren’t meant for the casual political observer.

Margin Of Error: +/- 3.9%

Nationally Biden 45%, Trump 44%
                    Biden 45%, DeSantis 42%

Swing States DeSantis 44%, Biden 43%

This poll seems to debunk the conventional wisdom that DeSantis would do better than Trump in the General Election.

Do you really believe one poll in July of 2023 is a harbinger for November 2024? We may be paying attention but my guess is that 75% of the nation, or more, is not.

The highly rated Marquette University Law School poll finds Trump and DeSantis running within the margin of error.

Among Republicans and independents who lean Republican, the GOP presidential primary is a near-even divide, with 31% supporting former President Donald Trump and 30% supporting Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. Former Vice President Mike Pence is the choice of 6% and South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott receives 5%
When given only DeSantis and Trump as voting options, DeSantis trounces Trump.
DeSantis is the choice of 57% and Trump is the pick of 41%
Not surprisingly, DeSantis fares better against Biden than Trump does.
If the election were held today and DeSantis were the GOP nominee against Biden, it would be a very close race, with 49% for Biden, 47% for DeSantis, and 4% declining to choose. Biden has a materially larger lead over Trump in a hypothetical matchup, with 52% for Biden to Trump’s 43% and 4% undecided.

It's not me spreading rumors (like the guy who spread the rumor that the WH cocaine was Hunter Biden's), DeSantis HIMSELF paid for an ad that claims he was anointed by GOD:

If you've been on this board long enough, you'll remember that it was REPUBLICANS who mockingly referred to Obama as "The Chosen One."  Now a Republican is calling himself The Chosen One.  ROFLMAO!

I bet that good news from 3 weeks ago has now soured, Has there EVER been more of a crash and burn campaign than the Desantis ?
Conservative big donors tried to stuff this guy down our throats, but the grass root, MAGA  republicans just don’t dig this guy..I guess he fuck with trump so…??
He’s just so “un- likable”

Both presidents also received low perceptions of fitness for the highest office in the U.S. Neither was deemed particularly “fit to serve another term as president,” with 27 percent of respondents saying Biden would be, and 36 percent saying Trump would.
The results come from a sample of 1,638 U.S. adults who took the online survey from July 13 to July 17, 2023. The margin of error was plus or minus 2.7 percent.
