So we have all heard that "White Washing", portraying anyone claimed as Non-White by white actors or in images that look white-ish, is Very Very BAD.  Even GaG said outrage was the appropriate response to a portrayal of an ancient Egyptian in a reddish brown skin tone that wasn't deemed quite brown enough... though genetic forensics indicate that the pharaohs were mostly Caucasian.
Meanwhile, "Black Washing" seems to be Very Very GOOD.  Hamilton was a critical success, largely due to using blacks and Puerto Ricans to portray the Founders.   The critics LOVE Wrinkle In Time (though audiences do not) because it was "Diversified" from the original story, making the main character black instead of white, making two of the three magic ladies black and Indian instead of the original white.
It seems that it is even Very Very Bad for Whites to play characters that are Half White... those characters must be played by persons of 100% the non-white half's heritage. Thus "Miss Saigon" was shut down due the half white-half asian character being  played by an all white actor, instead of the mandatory all Asian actor.
And, alas, it seems that is Very Very Evil for Whites to play white characters that have EVER been played by a Non-White.  An off-Broadway play derived from War and Peace was shut down when a white character, which had been played by a black actor, was going to then be played by white man again.  Once You Go Black, You Can Never Go Back it seems.

It’s clear you are race baiting here, but at least try and get your facts straight.  The Miss Saigon revival closed after a two year successful run.  The original lead actress in the revival Eva Noblezanga( spelling?) was nominated for a Tony.  The play was extended for four weeks when original cast members from the London opening came in as sort of a farewell performance.  There was never any issue about the actors.  The musical simply has run its course.  

Like, for example, that Jesus -- who if he ever actually existed -- was a dark-skinned, Semitic-looking dude, not the fair-haired, blue-eyed, fair-skinned angel all the Thumpers like to portray him as.

When Josh Groban exited the musical, they replaced him with a black actor from Hamilton that nobody had heard of but hard core theater buffs. The million plus weekly grosses immediately started to decline and the producers concluded they needed a “name actor” to headline. Enter white guy Mandy Patinkin to play Pierre. But social media crucified the producers for replacing a black guy with a white guy and the storm was so intense that Mandy opted out. The show closed shortly thereafter.

White is acceptable. Black is acceptable. Yellow is not. Pretty simple.

The play ranked after Groban left.  The producers hastily brought in Oak to try and make it to the end of the scheduled run but underestimsted his drawing power, so the play was still tanking.  They then brought in Mandy.
