Biden and Bernie have already qualified for the Nevada debate so the rules changes won't affect them, other than having to debate against Bloomberg. Cory Booker and Julian Castro had been calling for these rules changes when they were in the race.
There's no reason for this change to be made at this particular time EXCEPT in order to bring Bloomberg in. They obviously see Joe Biden as a liability (corruption issue, not to mention his failing cognitive abilities.) They also see Warren as unpopular. And they are sure Bernie would go down to ignominious defeat in the general. I guess they find the others unexciting ... Buttigieg, Klobuchar, Yang and Steyer. And they hate Tulsi.
Klobuchar is probably the most "normal" of the bunch. Other than Steyer who I haven't actually ever seen, the last five are at least generally likable. Buttigieg does sort of look like PeeWee Herman. I saw the Rubin Report interviews with Yang and Tulsi. Real people. Not the ideological robots like Bernie or Warren.
I don't think Bernie or his bots are going to just lay their and moan as they get fucked again. I don't like anything about Bernie, but that doesn't invalidate ALL of his points.
If "rules are rules" like they said in re to the black and the brown guy, how can they bend, err MANGLE the rules for the rich old Jew? This coming from the party who claims to hate the billionaire class and is supposed to be the party of diversity.

Bloomberg will be the Democratic candidate if the super delegates get their way. He is the Biden without the baggage. Only one who has a chance against Trump. Cut from the same cloth.

"Once" seems to be VERY much against "corruption" lately so I wonder if he will make his very first bi-partisan post and rip the Dims for their corruption re: Bernie.
