First off, I had never heard about the "Diet Coke button" until today. Perhaps others here had heard about it previously. Anyway, I did know Trump was big on Diet Coke. He installed a button in the Oval Office for specifically requesting a Diet Coke. When he pressed the button, it would signal a White House butler to bring him, on demand, a Diet Coke on a silver tray. According to the link I've included, Trump drank on average a 12-pack per day. Joe had the button removed.
I have mixed feelings about this. Having a button installed to have beverages brought to you on demand is over the top. However, I could see the need for it. I obviously don't know the layout of the White House, so I have no clue where the nearest refrigerator would be. In lieu of not having a mini-refrigerator or a soda fountain dispenser in the Oval Office, & if the nearest refrigerator is a significant distance away, it would definitely be a time saver. I drink a lot of soft drinks as well, so if I were in a similar situation, I would have to find a creative way to get my soft drink fix during the day without wasting valuable work time (silver tray not required).
The other thing for me is it wouldn't be Diet Coke on demand; it would be Pepsi products. If it had to be Coke products, give me regular Coke or Coke Zero, but not Diet Coke.
Not earth-shattering news, but an amusing presidential transition tale.
Junk food eating traitor. Obama and George Bush walk with swagger - this humpty dumpty got none.
the jizz you swap with swallowme?
have been snowballing each other for years. They don't give a shit whether its healthy or not, they just love the taste of semen and can't seem to get enough.
Opps. my bad.... I think that may be in the process. In trumps world we can get a man to the moon, but we can't bring him home.
We'd have lost 2 million if that foolish old man Biden had been in power
that would have thrilled him
and most democrats
would be a Mexican Coke still made with real sugar. I would only need a butler about 3x a week to bring me one, straight out of the glass bottle. I would need a Mexican Coke when I had a hamburger or Mexican food. A big water fountain in Oval office would suffice
Nice commentary, sincerely. All I could do was laugh for a moment when I thought back to the late
1970's and1980's when diet coke had another meaning in Miami where I was born and raised. We
too had a button before the proliferation of cell phones: it was called a beeper (LOL)
I told people I once tried snorting coke, but all I got was sticky boogers.
That's when I switched to Pepsi.
