In the face of possible legislation to restrict and possibly ban firearms and magazines over a certain capacity, waves of panic buyers have stripped shelves to the paint, at both retail and online gun stores.

A combination of demand and gouging has caused prices for rifle magazines and rifles, parts and accessories to more than double, with some vendors selling goods at five times what the average rate was just a few weeks ago.

We don't have money to pay the teachers but we have the money to hire armed guards?
Who is going to provide the funding for all these police officers? The federal government? The individual states?

For years the schools in my area have police presence when open .

The photo below looks photo shopped . I get the point .

Inevitable.  And it also happened when he was first elected.  So now that's his fault?  And a good reason to do nothing?  Bullfeathers.

I can't wait to see the video.  All I can tell you is I just talked with a right wing buddy of mine who saw the NRA press conference and all he could says was, "These people are bat-shit crazy."

Actually, the gun manufacturers.

Over a million people have been killed with guns in the United States since 1968, when Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Robert F. Kennedy were assassinated (Childrens’ Defense Fund, p. 20).

http://www.bradycampaign.org/facts/gunviolence

In its first 100 years of existence, over 683,000 Americans lost their lives, with the Civil War accounting for 623,026 of that total (91.2%). Comparatively, in the next 100 years, a further 626,000 Americans died through two World Wars and several more regional conflicts (World War 2 representing 65% of that total). Using this comparison, the Civil War might very well be the most costly war that America has ever fought.

http://www.militaryfactory.com/american_war_deaths.asp

We should be able to catch over 200 years of war deaths here domestically in a bout 5 years to run past the war total with more deaths here in USA by guns since 1968.

Surprised the NRA didn't suggest we need to start arming our kids in elementary schools, etc in schools for them to be safe.

...your point? other than dollars?  I do not have children, but I bet there would be plenty of off duty officers, willing to volunteer a few hours a day, to keep children safe.

Hugs and Kisses,
