Here we go again the pro amnesty politicos are trying to deceive us again.

The last immigration bill that passed through the U.S senate last year mentioned constructing a 700 mile fence BUT then did not provide the funding to build it. This immigration reform bill is a farce and should be defeated at all cost. Bush says to just TRUST him on this....NO WAY.

Let's recount Bush's failures:

His idi0tic policies have broken the Army and National guard. The Iraq war has been a complete disaster and is costing us $8billion/wk. The Medicare part D plan is a complicated expensive mess unless you qualify for SSI. Instead of staying focused on Iran we invaded Iraq and now Iran is on a fast track to obtaining WMD's. Iran is also formenting mischief all over the middle east. Our focus on Iraq has led to complete chaos in the middle east with civil wars in Iraq, Lebanon, Palestine. Our misadventure in Iraq has also led to a resurging Taliban in Afganistan. The education plan, No child left behind has been a complete failure.

We now have exploding deficits as far as the eye can see.......Why would anyone in their right mind trust this LOSER.

I once read a story about Bush in USA Today a couple of years ago.

I kid you not, the guy admits that he talks... TO COWS. And said that they answer him back.

WTF?!?!

Someone please tell me what's wrong with this picture...

It doesn't matter how long ago it happened. Why is he talking to COWS? I couldn't help but laugh.

That something dosn't seem to be all that efective, or attractive.

But sadly, this problem has been allowed to grow to such catastrophic proportions that a defeat of the bill simply means a perpetuation of the status quo.  Which in itself is very unattractive.

So, damned if they do, damned if they don't.

The only way this bill could be palatable would be after the construction of the barrier, and a hugh increase in enforcement.  Neither of that seems likely to happen.

I'm out of practical ideas.  Lousy as it is, this might be the best we're capabele of for the next quarter century.

Quite a thought, eh?

Iranians are beating the crap out of them and tossing them across the boarder back into Afghanistan.

There has to be a middle ground between that and what we're doing.

I say we should let the illegal aliens liquidate their assets, get their personal crap together and settled and then we should kick them out.

I'm really pissed.  The only  2 car accidents I've been in these last 10 years have been w/illegal Mexicans.  Naturally, they had no insurance, could n't or wouldn't speak english and then sort of dissappeared.  Both times-- I wound up wimping out  due mostly to total frustration and ended up paying for the fender bender damage myself.  AND IT WAS THEIR FAULT BOTH TIMES!!

The hiway patrol didn't help at all the last time.  They said that it was a civil matter. I should have raised a stink.

(and of course it won't be), It is the same block of conservatives that oppose exiting Iraq that ALSO defeated the amnesty immigration bill last week.

First of all the Army and National Guard are  not broken.
Second. Even though many of your cronies back the immigration bill you still blame the entire bill on Bush.
Third.Iran has been on a fast track to obtaining WMDs since Iran humilitated us under carter when Iran held  Americans hostages for months and months and months and months.
Fourth .. There has been complete chaos in many parts of the Middle East long before Bush was President and anyone who thinks this will stop anytime soon is sadly mistaken.
Fifth. When have the Palestinians not been killing someone.. Sometimes a Civil War gets a country back on track.. Six Hundred Thousand Americans dying during our Civil War showed us we shouldn't be killing each other.
Sixth.Afghanistan is next on the Liberals list of Wars to lose
Seventh  No Child Left behind is a success
Eighth. With our GDP the deficit is merely a talking point

the disregard for law, any law, in the US.  There is so much that should have happened in your case... these clods should have been jailed if 1) they were illegal and 2) they failed to have insurance.  Then their car should have been sold, proceeds to you, and they should have been allowed to contact all their illegal buddies, and whatever cash they had should have been confiscated to pay your bills, and they and their buddies put on an LE bus and dumped across the border.

1 - The American military is strained to the brink of suffocation. All that graft and skim making its way into Halliburton coffers should have been spent on equipment, not moving expenses.
2 - I think the bill sucks. It sucked when Clinton was President, it sucks now.
3 - Oh STFU about Carter and 1979 Iran. Two completely different worlds. Iran has gone through several shifts since then. If George the Stupid had gone after Iran instead engorging Cheney's penis with visions of Hallburton profits in Iraq, we'd be in exactly the same mess we are in now, it would just be in a different language.
4 - I completely agree with you.
5 -             ""
6 - Quit using the word liberal like its an epithet. You merely reveal the true extent of your ignorance. Afghanistan is a winning proposition if you have interests in the oilm drug or weapons trade. The three most powerful industries in the United States are the Oil companies, the Drug companies, and the Defense Industry. Dude... Afghanistan is a bonanza for business! And with almost $2 BILLION a month being spent on salaries for mercenary armies fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq, big business for ex-military and ex-cons as well.
7 - You've got to be kidding me. The only schools to benefit from NCLB have been the ones with a Christian agenda matching that of the Bush agenda. Which might be fine for you I guess.
8 - Yes. It is definitely a point that deserves to be talked about. But not with you. You've made it clear you are not open minded enough to discuss permutations that are outside the box.

I don't blame anything on Bush. I hold the people who still support him at this time accountable. And in contempt.

Ah, the good old days before the WTC bombings.  When Shrub was losing on the economy and looking like a doofus at every turn...before he was given automatic approval ratings on a platter.

Shrub actually said he LISTENS to cows...and, of course, his angle at the time was that he was just an average guy (in spite of the rich and superpowerful family and Yale education) and he represented the common folk of America.  As such, his talking like this was playing perfectly to the people who still bought that he cared about the "common folk" (which, amazingly, many still believe).

What the real issue there should be was the subject of that article, but ha ha ha, like anyone would take that seriously.

And the Iraqi War isn't wanted by anyone, except of course by George W., Cheney and a few "deadenders" on this board.

I find this very funny on a board where most of us disregard the law.  Just because one disregards one aspect of the law does not make one a "bad" guy.  Anyway,  I believe an open immigration policy is good for all.  Many, many immigrants are very hard workers.

1. The U.S Military is by far the strongest Military in the world and they are by no means suffocating in any sense of the World except in the eyes of  LIBERALS who only look at the negative and ignore the positive.
3. I stand by my view Iran became more of a threat during carters term since he acted like a coward and allowed Iran to hold our hostages for 444 days. If Peanut Brain cowardly carter had acted with the slightest courage I doubt Iran would be the figure they are now.
6. When I say liberals I am talking of the far left liberals ..The wacked out kooks that think Kum Ba Ya and talk will work with radical Islamics. I am not talking of a middle of the road average American who might have some liberal views .
If there weren't any BIG OIL companies we would easily be paying a hundred dollars a gallon.. Get Over your grief with big oil . We are lucky they have it for us whenever we need to fill up.
7. I don't know what kind of schools they have in Nevada but in Va. the public schools do not have Christian teaching. They don't even mention Christmas ...Its called Winter Holidays..In Va or at least in Central and Northern Va no preaching during class hours. How about some proof of the Christian Agenda in the Public schools .I am not talking of clubs or activities in College that might be related to some kind of religion. Doc if you guess you are usually only right 50% of the time..Its better to think instead of guessing !!!
8.Doc you just don't like my view since I expose a lot of truths you don't agree with because it doesn't fit YOUR mold. Actually I am very open minded person except when it comes to opening attachments.
Doc I am just one of the 100 million Americans who support President Bush..

1 - Please explain to me about the superb armored vehicles in use by our boys and girls in Iraq and elsewhere... when we'redone with this one, i'll go on to the next point...
3 - Ok, for now, I'll agree to disagree with you. The question of how much truth there is in the story of the Reagan camp making a deal with Iran to hold off releasing the hostages until after the election to embarass Carter comes to mind. But admittedly, thats heresay.
6 - ok, fair enough.
7 - Nevada? No, I live in Southern California. I just go to Vegas to get laid.
8 - Quad, in all direct honesty, my issue with you is your arrogance in asserting your viewpoint as the truth, despite a serious lack of factual backup. I see that in many people who receive their news through the Fox filter, or Clear Channel talk radio stations. You claim to glean your news from multiple sources... but you are far too stentorian for the facts you present.

One Hundred Million Americans supporting George Bush. The math does work, I grant you that.

That explains the Red States.

We are not Red or Blue States but Purple.. I don't knwo how the Media leads you guys to buy into the Red State Blue State theory. It started out as a simple way to show election results and many have turned it into something else.I haven't checked all  the numbers so I will leave that to you but aren't all States a mix of Republicans and Democrats? Is there any state that has a majority of 65% of the people with consistent loyalty to one party or the other? Throw out Utah on the Republican side as they are probaly 75% Republican and probably new Jersey on the Democrat side at 65% or more.It depends on which news I watch to see if Va. is Red or Blue..But the fact is we are Purple not Red or Blue. Also Doc before you go spouting off about low IQs perhaps you should look up California statistics.
According to a Census Bureau Supplementary Survey of 700,000 households across the country, California boasts 2 million recipients of graduate degrees (master's or Ph.D. or professional diplomas such as M.D. or J.D.).
Yet this sophisticated state also is home to 2.2 million adults who never even attended high school. Their ranks were up 7 percent during the 1990s. By contrast, in the rest of America, the number of adults who had never seen the inside of a high school dropped by 30 percent over that decade.
California is now one of only three states with above average percentages both of people who never got past elementary school and of holders of graduate degrees. (The other two are New Mexico and Rhode Island.) In California, 10.7 percent of grownups have no more than elementary schooling, compared to only 6.4 percent in the other 49 states.
Of all the states in the Union, California now has the lowest percentage of its population with a midlevel education consisting of at least a high school diploma or some college, but not a bachelor's degree from a four-year college.

California's educational inequality is driven by both foreign immigration and domestic migration. The state has attracted the top and the bottom of the schooling pyramid, while repelling the middle.
Silicon Valley and other technology centers attract the highly educated from Asia and across America.
