It gives Trump way to much credit by holding that his actions were thought out and are the work of some intelligent thought process.   Trump is an idiot put into office by idiots.  That's not to say the GOP is entirely idiotic.  Most Republicans voted for him because he was their candidate and would assumedly push their agenda.   But those GOP voters alone would not have carried the day.  So the tactic was always that Trump, being a brash moron, would appeal to the lowest common denominator of the electorate.  Hillary killed herself by alienating those LCDers by calling them the "deplorables".  That moment was her end and every political junkie like me knew it then.

When she made the deplorable remark, I believed that may to big a pothole for her to clime out of. The Russians and Comey made certain she'd stay there. One thing you don't try to do in politics, is shame someone into your way of thinking; particularly when a group of people take pride in being shameless!

I disagree with Trump on 90% of the issues, I believe him to be a vile, self indulgent and a truly despicable man, and someone who embarrasses our already great country on an all too often basis, but lets not lump him in with the Nazi's or communists. That just tunes many people out, and especially hurts my many Jewish friends on both sides of the political spectrum. Hitler should be compared to Mussolini, Hussein and the old Soviet regime leaders as those are apt comparisons for they murdered many, but not to people with whom we have political differences. When we go down this road, we are no better than Trump and his "the media is an enemy of the people" hateful incitement. I think you should read up on this issue as knowledge can lead to enlightenment as I don't think you meant to be hateful, but your words/link can certainly be construed that way.  Just my two cents.

Let me ask you honestly Mattradd. Do you believe groups who have condemned Hitler/Nazi comparisons, like the Anti-Defamation League, would approve of the one RawStory.com made? By leaving the question open ended as you are doing seems like an attempt to try to justify your/their ill conceived and misinformed comparison. The more apt comparison for Trump would be Nixon possibly, not totalitarian despots who commit mass murder and engage in genocide.  Again, I would kindly ask you not go down this road, as it makes our side appear totally oblivious and uncaring to the all too real horrors committed against the Jewish people by the Nazi regime.

Any and all comparisons to Hitler are frivolous and an exercise in futility, unless the person you are comparing him to is a mass murder. The way to have this discussion, without mentioning Nazi's, Hitler, communists, is to use other American or foreign democratic leaders, and believe me, there are enough of those to choose from.  
Nixon comes to mind with his deceptions, as well as Bush the younger, through his selling of the Iraq War with his misleading and troubling arguments about WMD. Many others have used the "big lie" to justify their policies, or hide them altogether, and we should choose those as more appropriate comparisons and not use psychotic and demented causers of genocide as examples for the points we are trying to make.
