Yea, I agree.  I also sensed a little bit of the smug factor with Edwards.  Cheney's unfair insinuation that Edwards is just interested in being president (its not edwards' fault that cheney can't win the pres), combined with Edwards' annoying smile makes me wonder if much of the non-southern vote might be concerned about the slick factor (and edwwards ain't no bill clinton in terms of charm).

Their argument about the facts was a great example.  Cheney seemed credible but more like an old man defending his record.  Edwards seemed like a some young go getter but less trustworthy.

I give a slight edge to Edwards, (and I'm rather unbiased here).....Ok, that's a lie, but I was impressed w/the enthusiasm, & how well prepared Edwards was...No question, Cheney was good, but I think Edwards comes across as a more likeable candiate, which could be an important factor especially to someone who might still be undecided.....

Edwards did get Cheney agitated when he brought up Halliburton....Also, Edwards cited 5-6 examples of how the current administration has "flip-flopped" to.....

I didn't think the "answer to Howard Dean?" comment by Cheney was effective....I mean, Kerry won the first primary & had the nomination practically secure in early March; as he won all but one state...

He said that he never claimed there to be a link between Saddam and 9/11. Of course, right after the debate NBC showed the clip from Meet the Press where he said exactly that.
