Given the fact that Bush cant run again and Kerry is now a loser and would be a very unlikely prospect who do you think will be the likely players in 08.  Will it be between two New Yorkers ? Hillary and Rudy ?

But I wouldn't be too surprised if Barak Obama (sp) isn't being groomed.  Was he born in the USA?  (legitimate question)  Watch for him to distance himself from the flaming liberals in the Senate.

seems pretty thin.  The GOP has a (bad) habit of nominating the individual whose "turn" it is.  Witness Bob Dole in 1996.  While I like Guiliani's leadership qualities, I have problems with his positions on abortion and labor unions.  Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist has been mentioned, but the Poodle reminded us again this year why it's now nearly impossible to become President from the Senate.  George Allen (R-VA) has the same problem, though he was a good Governor of Virginia, and is an attractive candidate.

The Democrats, on the other hand, have almost no one who is both: (1) qualified; and (2) untainted by association with Bill Clinton.  Hitlary is an even more apparent and committed Socialist than Kerry.  However, while I once thought it impossible for her to get the free ride as a presidential candidate that she got as a senatorial candidate, this year's so-called "mainstream" media treatment of the Poodle causes me to question this assumption.

I can honestly say that I don't have the slightest idea who the nominees will be, and that I cannot say who I would support for the GOP nomination.
