The republican party likes/needs them poorly educated....they're easier to minulpilate. You can spook them with fear. I mean, just look at the righties who post here...lol

That's why for last 50 years, GOP has primarily voted against investing in education - from county level to the national level. GOP's can't handle educated people - because their policies mostly benefit a minority of people and they have to lie/cheat their way through to rule and get things approved. Educated people are more prone to see through lies and cheating - hopefully. But in this day and age of social media - that hope has been plummeting for good reasons.
