Your link makes no sense with regard to your post. It describes Yaser Esam Hamdi and John WalkerLindh who were American citizens who joined the Taliban. If you want to call all domestic terrorists “Taliban” that certainly is your right, but please include the far left who have rioted and destroyed property as well as trying to intimidate anyone who opposes their point of view. My point was it’s not a ‘new one’ as you suggested in response to hyp.  
And, where do you get the idea that I am leaving out the left? If the Oklahoma bomber was a card carrying member of the ‘left’ - I will still label him as an American Taliban. The term Taliban here is more metaphorical than actual (religious police etc.)  Burning flags or knocking of statues can be distasteful and disturbing or even sometimes illegal. But equating them with ‘terrorism’ is a real stretch! To me it’s the act not the party that decides this.
