Here is the latest example;  As a ploy to distort a war hero's motives, Tucker Carlson is using this latest slogan against Tammy Duckworth.  An American hero, former Army lieutenant colonel who made the ultimate sacrifice for her country by serving in Afghanistan and  lost her legs when her helo was shot down as she was providing air artillery support to ground troops that were under fire.  That's right, she put her own life and safety at risk to protect others!

 
So Tucker Carlson, who has done NOTHING to support his nation, NOTHING to support our many freedoms, says a war hero like Tammy Duckworth "hates America?"  Are there any sane Trump supporters who are outraged by this ridiculous comment by someone who has sacrificed NOTHING for America?  Is this what Trump's failed campaign is coming to?  Are people actually believing this doo doo?  How could this even be possible?

Without George Washington we may very well not ever have become an independent country, losing a couple of legs in the service of our country doesn't give Duckworth the right to dictate to the rest of us how we should honor, or in her case "not honor" the father of our country.

Look, slavery was a terrible thing, and I condemn the Ashanti tribe who conquered most of West Africa and sold their conquered peoples into slavery to white Europeans (most of the slaves brought to America came when colonists were still considered Europeans).  Whites did not go and kidnap them, they were sold as property by other blacks. It was a dark time to be black (no pun intended), and I think if there is anyone still living who was ever a slave in America, they should get a reparation award.  No one else should.

I'm of the opinion that she is a bona fide war hero.   However, its not uncommon for combat vets to come back with PTSD, and losing your legs would certainly be reasonable cause.  The symptoms manifest themselves in many different ways, but hating the country that sent them to war is but one of them.  Becoming a Democrat is rare, but not unheard of.  

 
When I went to OCS, the guys at the bottom of the class ended up as Quarter Masters.  It required very little intelligence.  The job was mostly rote, replacing things by requisition when the on-hand supply got low.  Enlisted men under the QM officers had to be even dumber than they were.  The job was great for guys who had no skills at anything else, and those that were so overweight they would endanger the lives of their comrades in a active combat zone.  A 250 pound guy on a zip-line is a recipe for trouble.    Many Enlisted QM Corps soldiers went on to get good jobs re-folding clothes on display in retail outlets like Walmart and its early predecessors.  However, I don't think there are any medals given out for bravery in the QM corps.  It was kind of a rear-area refuge for cowards.
