You're kidding right?

Are you actually arguing that Palin has exposed herself to the sam level of scrutiny as Obama?  That's a riot.

First of all, Obama did about 20 debates while he was seeking the nomination. Have noticed all of the Palin debate footage from when she was campaigning for Governor?  Didn't think so.

In fact, now we find out that the McCain campaign want to change the rules to expose Palin to less back and forth in the debate as was originally planned (link:  http://www.nytimes.com/2008/09/21/us/politics/21debate.html?scp=1&sq=palin%20debates&st=cse).

A quick google search reveals that Obama has done interviews on Meet the Press, Face the Nation, This Week, PBS's News Hour, 60 Minutes, ABC with Charlie Gibson, George Stephanopolis, Charlie Rose, and even sat down with Bill O'Reilly, among many, many others.  Think Palin is going to engage the media like every other VP?  Right.  They're terrified to let her speak unscripted.

Another quick google search reveals that Obama has done press conferences about the Financial Crisis (Sept. 16), the Revered Wright Controversy (April 29th), the RNC (September 4th), the economy (May 2nd), the Iraq War (July 3rd).  And that's just the first page of results.

Great VP you got there, Harry.  She's not even ready to be a VP candidate.

What's the over/under on the number of press conference Sarah Palin is going to hold between now and the election?

Just because you see film of BO gabbing with the ink stained wretches on the plane don't think they are press conferences.

Why does the left constantly compare their candidate for POTUS with the Reps candidate for VP? Obama can barely hold his own against the owner of an admittedly rather thin resume on the part of Palin. The very fact that the Dems keep comparing the two of them would indicate a pretty weak hand on the part of the Obama camp.

I'm wasn't comparing Palin and Obama, the guy on your side Harry did and I responded to his question.

The reason Palin comes so often is that it represents John McCain's first decision as potential leader of the country.  A decision that's more crucial than usual because of his advanced age and history of cancer.  And who does John McCain think is the single best person in the entire country to lead our nation if he should (God forbid) not be able to finish his presidency?  Sarah Palin.  A candidate so weak that they had to ask for lamer debating rules so we wouldn't be so exposed.

That's why we talk about Palin. Because it tells us something about McCain.

Right, and I listed FIVE press conferences that Obama gave in the last few months.  And it just so happens that Obama gave another press conference today on the bailout.  So clearly Obama talks to the press.  Often.

I listed the debates as FURHTER examples of Obama having been exposed to questioning while the McCain campaign continues to hide Palin from questions and keep her on scripted responses.

You don't have to look any further than today's news to know the McCain campaign doesn't want Palin to talk to anyone:

The first line of a Yahoo news article:  "Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, who has not held a press conference in nearly four weeks of campaigning, on Tuesday barred most pool reporters from her meeting with Afghan President Hamid Karzai, the first foreign head of state she has ever met."

Apparently they reversed that decision after CNN took a stand and said if they didn't let reporters in they wouldn't provide the Television feed.  I know these are inconvenient facts for your side, but face it.  They don't want your girl talking unless she's scripted.

Before the one he gave TODAY,I only remember BHO giving just one Press Conference. It was back in April, when he was taking peak heat over Rev. J. Wright.

Press interviews are NOT the same as a Press conference. An interview is almost always one on one. Press conferences are many on one and more difficult to control.

So from a practial reference, you are correct. From a technical standpoint Harry is correct. Well except for the part about quantity.
Palin - 0. BHO - 2. Close though.

Why do you want to learn more about Palin's daughter? Why Palin didn't slaughter her own child? You want the cowards at MSNBC to ask her why she didn't stone her kid like it says in the Old Testament.

I think most people who are not liberal, left or Democrat applaud the R's for telling the press to stick it. Why should the R's put themselves in front of a media, who no longer merely biased, but aggressively partisan but still denying it. A media that will only attack the R's and then neglect to mention the most grievous failures on the part of the D's. The R's would have to be stupid not to pick where they put themselves. Remember how the Dems would not go on Fox News? Were you worried about that?
I didn't think so.

4, and i'm takng the under.  If she tanks in the VP debate with Senator Biden, I'd expect absolutely no PC or one-on-one interviews after that.
