Is Trump trying to provoke a constitutional crisis?.........

Good luck with that, the travel ban that Trump invoked this week, that initially included Green Card holders, was clearly intended to provoke a constitutional crisis between the Executive branch and the Judiciary. Trump along with Steve Bannon clearly believe that a popularly elected president's views should take precedence over those of the courts. Thus a ruling against the administration by the Supreme Court would simply have been ignored, thus changing the balance of power between the executive and judicial branches once and for all. If that ploy worked, the Trump administration could do whatever it wanted to from that point on with near impunity.

However, the plan could also backfire spectacularly. Many Republicans in Congress dislike Trump but like Vice President Mike Pence, a former congressman. If Trump were to ignore a Supreme Court decision, that could be an excuse for the House to IMPEACH and the Senate to CONVICT a president Republicans don't like and replace him with one they do like. And the good news here is that since nominally, the impeachment process would be about Trump flouting the Supreme Court, most of the country would support the impeachment and cheer the Republicans on. If Bannon's game plan is to get a definitive Supreme Court ruling with the intention of ignoring it to enhance the power of the executive, he is playing with FIRE.

EO clarified

This morning it was announced the EO pertaining to the Temporary refugee stoppage  does not affect Green card holders.

But interestingly, CNN runs another FAKE NEWS story...

... about a kid that was accepted to MIT and is complaining the 3 month travel ban will keep him from attending.  
At the end of the story they admit that he doesn't start till Fall Semester.  
I would think that someone going to MIT and CNN would know that 3 months is a lot less than 8 months.

1) Regarding impeachment. When and if a motion to impeach is voiced, the grounds will have to be clearly stated and egregious enough to garner the votes. There won't be a second chance. Also, it would be to America's advantage that it doesn't happen too soon, but not too late. Pence should not get more than one shot at running as an incumbent. Unfortunately, the best shot at having enough votes could come after the midterms, and that would leave Pence to finish the term and risk another 8 years after that.

2) Although this so-called "president" is lauded for his shrewd wheeling-dealing, I don't think he's smart enough to know what either the Constitution or the Law says let alone means.

1)  I don't think they have the balls to impeach him.  The Trumpanzees worship the ground their Messiah walks on......literally.....and they will primary any Righty that doesn't suck his dick like they do.  
   
 2)  I don't think they even care if he tells the Courts to go fuck themselves because he has that Magical (R) behind his name.  Bush Jr should have been impeached for several things and they never even talked about it.
