Iraq and the rest of the Middle East unfortunately have perceived America as the evil invaders/intruders. Personally, Saddam Hussein should have been deposed long ago. Did Bush create hype in regards to weapons of mass destruction? maybe.

Maybe a better question is will Iraq sustain a democracy. The Middle East and Arabs are a paternalistic society/culture. Those that do come to power are usually not placed there by a majority vote. Once there, it is also usually for life or at the very least the next assasination attempt.
