It's very unlikely that social conservatives are going to consolodate around a single candidate in the next two weeks which spells good news for Romney and good news for those who hate the religious right.

Truth be told, I am barely luke warm where it comes to Romney, but luke warm is heads and shoulders above how I feel about any other candidate. So I am all for Romney going into Fla et al with momentum and putting the GOP in the best position to dethrone Obama.

but as much as I would like to see religion become a thing of the pass, I have to agree with JG and admit that whatever replaces it will be abused and inevitably be corrupted as well. Even if it were "worship of football" lol

the Evangelicals and Fundamentalists, though they don't want to say it, and the political reporters don't understand it, is that they don't want to vote for someone they believe is going to hell, the Catholics and Mormons, and they don't want to vote for someone who will lose the Obama. In other words, they're screwed and they know it.  

and if I were in a Church and the preacher started going into politics, guess I would beat the church crowd to the restaurant.
