When he posts like a reasonable human being, I treat him as such. When he posts like a troll, I also treat him as such, and generally just ignore his posts.

I do the same with our other trolls on this board like TrannyBoy and Ben. I only respond to either of them on the rarest of ocassions. Usually when I am "posting under the influence" lol

I don't believe in rewarding bad behavior, but I do believe in positive reinforcement. The ocassional stupid post by otherwise rational posters get the BOD from me, but stupid posts by "stupid posters with a prior", should simply get skipped over. I like a game of "whack a troll" as much as the next guy (unless that guy is Priapus. lol), but it doesnt' serve much purpose to the overall quality of a board.
