I think Biden is an empty suit just like Obama.

It's all over but the crying for the dems.  Because Barry is an empty suit, knows it and doesn't give a sh*t. Ditto for Biden.

That's very shrewed.  I think this could be something good.

maybe?

This is just brilliant. Obama's campaign rhetoric is all about change, change, change, change. So he picks a 30+ year veteran of DC as his running mate.

Yeah, ok. The only change that Beltway Biden represents is changing his socks when the seasons change from summer to winter in DC.

Putting Biden on the ticket is shrewed. It means Obama won't be Carter. It means that he will have Congress behind him.

This campaign and this presidency is going to be good.

I find it amusing that the candidate of hope and change, who is wearing his own lack of experience like a badge of honor is picking the quintessential Washington insider as his running mate. Hope and change my ass, just another politician trying to get elected.

It doesn't matter if he's a candidate for change. You would have criticized his choice of Dennis Kucinich.

So, before he was too radical, now he's, what? Too smart, too crafty, a professional politician, I think. You're going to be so mad when he wins.

But you're more mad at his supporters not at him, for tolerating this move. It more has to do with what you think of his supporters.

And that he'll raise your taxes, of course, which means it doesn't matter if God was his running mate.

are the ones that elevated him to Messiah status. I am just pointing out that he is no different from any other politician.

Kucinich, while someone I agree with on almost nothing would have been a pick more in character with a true idealogue. Which is who you and Moosie and all the rest of the koolaid drinkers have been trying to convince us Obama really is.

As far as being mad, at his supporters or anyone else, I am far from it, I am just pointing out the hypocrisy of your guy. An "outsider" who picks the ultimate insider as his running mate. You might hang onto hope, but change has definitely gone out the window.

The furter into this election we go, the more it is obvious that your "Messiah" has feet of clay.

Its scary as hell if you ask me! I said long ago "Its time to bend over & kiss our butts" We're screwed!!

It's all over but the crying for the dems.  Because Barry is an empty suit, knows it and doesn't give a sh*t. Ditto for Biden.

Let's get past all the opposition rhetoric about DC insider, old school politician, etc... and try to look at the facts on the ground:

1 - He commands a greater measure of respect than most of his Dem cohorts, and even across the aisle.

2 - He has all that experience in foreign policy, an area we DESPERATELY need someone with gravitas to mend international fences damaged by Bush policies.

3 - He's a Catholic, so despite his liberal stance, he isn't going to enflame the anti-abortion crowd as much, thereby minimizing the power of the "family values" crowd.

4 - He's not Hillary

Just a few thoughts off the top of my head. Hope you can keep it on point Geezer:)

if Obama had not portrayed himself as the candidate of "hope and change". He has worn his inexperience like a badge of honor, and even JackO's support of him was based on the hope that he would come in and throw out the "old guard".

This doesn't look like "hope and change". It smacks of politics as usual. Another thing that will hurt Obama are the very qualities that you see in Biden are sorely lacking in Obama. This may become painfully obvious to the rest of the voters as the campaign goes on.

But as you said, he is not Hillary. so at least that is a step in the right direction.

Same thing in my book too.

I do believe and ferverently hope that Biden's strengths will do nothing more than further expose Obama's weaknesses.

He has a long record in Congress, and never ran away from it during presidential primaries in the past.

It wasn't too long ago, though, that Biden called Obama too inexperienced to run for prez. But maybe he's pulling a Bush, who suddenly backed Reagan's "voodoo" economics when he was tapped for VP.

Yes, he certainly did. The fact he was tapped for the VP spot proves his point.

Here's the reality:

Obama does not have the experience to be President. Enter Joe Biden, a strong, deeply experienced political insider, and the best bet to train Obama as well as make sure our foreign interests are properly tended to.

to vote for a Biden/Obama ticket than the slate we've been given. In the few media clips I've seen so far, Biden looks to be the top and Obama looks to be the bottom. lol

any ticket that has Obama as POTUS I am against. I dont care if Budda, Mohammed, and Jesus fucking Christ were on the ticket with him. There is no way, no fucking way I would ever vote for Obama for POTUS.

I am sorry for the ambiguity of my statements. I will try to be more clear about my positions in the future. lol
