I have reached my end with W.  Here the reasons why:
1. Not willing to use overwhelming force in war.  Our men are being wasted.  Kill an American, lose a city.  Simple.
2. Unwilling to protect our borders
3. Prescription Drug Plan, farm programs, steel protectionism-authorized where in the Constitution???
4. No government programs ended.
5. Social Security-not willing to call it the fraud it has always been
6. Highway bill full of pork
7. Unwilling to fight liberals with the intensity they fight
Bottom line- W is no Conservative.

I think many have lost faith in 'W', but for different reasons.  I was never a big supporter but I figured we should give him a chance.  I think he is losing support because his actions and agenda are not what we thought.

I'm conservative on some issues, mostly fiscal.
I'm liberal on others, mostly social.

So, Bush has screwed both sides of me.

I am liberal on some issues and conservative on others. This administration has failed when it comes to the things I counted on the GOP to uphold.

I used to vote strictly republican but the GOP has made me much more of a centrist.

A real conservative would
1. Nuke every country we don't like.
2. Round up all the coloreds and ship them out.
3. Wait a second, since when is paying off large corporations not conservative?
4/5. Let everyone fend for themselves. If they die, they die.
6. Wait a second, buying votes to consolidate power is not a partisan issue.
7. Impose a totalitarian regime where dissension is punishable by death.

Anyway, looking at your priorities, I would have to say that Afghanistan would be a nice fit for you.

My statement said nothing about race and race has no issue in my beliefs.
According to your comments any person may enter your home at any time without your permission and you are fine with that.  If so, you are a fool.
The Constitution promises opportunity, not success.

I guess a history lesson is in need here.

1- Liberal democrats filibustered the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (and successfully in 1963).  This includes Al Gore's daddy and the senior member of the Dem. Party in the Senate today, Robert "White-Sheets" Byrd

2- The only president to have nuked anyone was a Dem... and the second bomb was pretty much uncalled for.

3- Paying off large corporations??? You mean the way Daschle did to Unions or how about embezzling money from non-profits the way dems always do....

4- Buying votes with cigs is a democratic tactic.  And what happened in Chicago with the Dems 25 years ago???

points 2,5 and 7. Way to go.

1. The Dixiecrats who were against the Civil Rights Act either recanted later or most switched to the Republican Party in defiance. You bought them, you own them.
2. Agreed, yet most libs today condemn the dropping of the bombs, and the Rush's and Hannity's defend it to the death. Try to live in the present for a change. You might learn something.
3. So because of the Dems you are saying that Republicans accepting bribes from corporations for legislation is OK. So much for ethics.
4.  I was talking about buying votes in congress but ok. The Republicans don't need to buy votes because they just out right steal them. Don't think that that is much better.

It is very interesting that you have such committment to a party and an administration that you obviously despise. With issues like that, I imagine that your childhood must have been a real hoot.
