Well, not really official, but does anyone doubt that he intends to give it the 'ol college try?'   ;)

I'll take the competent fat guy any day over the skinny inept socialist we have now.  Christie will have to clean up the god awful mess  and debt that Obama will leave.  Hopefully the Benghazi Gate will bring the lying prez down.  There is no question the White House and State Dept have lied through their teeth about Benghazi.

His speech there had nothing to do with the 2012 election or Mitt Romney. His entire speech was about him, he was simply smart enough to know the 2012 was not his time, and I will admit he has a pretty good chance in '16, he does have a couple of things to live down, like looking like a whore (normally a good thing in my book) by kissing Obama's ass after Sandy, but he can spin that away easily.

because by the end of the day tomorrow Hillary is done and so is anybody else remotely connected to turning their backs when that safe house was being attacked .

Karney " it was so long ago "

No , but they wish it was.

All he has to say is..."Look, I can work with Democrats and Republicans alike.Something that has been missing in the White House for last 8 yrs."

He can also point to the fact that he is a GOP governor of heavily blue state.

In my opinion, 4 people who helped Obama win re-election...

A. Mitt Romney himself.
B. John Roberts - key vote on Health Care Reform
C. Chris Christie  - After Sandy
D. Bill Clinton

Funny, that 3 out of 4 are Republicans.

Has he written his autobiography yet? lol  I agree he has a good chance, and possibly, at this time, the only Republican I could vote for, which will be the 'touch of death,' for him, just as it was for John Huntsman. If the Tea Party, and the Evangelicals have their way, Cruz will be the nominee. Even Clinton's former political adviser, Carville is afraid of him. I like Christy because he's outspoken and a pragmatist. Even though it looked to some that he kissed Obama's ass, he was leaving nothing to chance in order to get what he needed, from Obama and Congress, for his people. I don't think that issue will hurt him with the extreme right, but some others will.

It does for many, however I've heard plenty of horror stories too.

If she digs herself a deep enough hole by being the "good soldlier" and taking Obama's heat, she may not even be able to run in '16 because of the baggage she will be carrying over this issue.

The dems really want this issue to go away and it's pretty plain it goes all the way to the top, and if all the facts come out, and many of them will if Hillary runs, it will be a huge embarrassment to the Dems.

I personally think her health wouldn't be up to it...

That leaves Joe Biden as the front runner, and a probable candidate, given the fact that he is current VP.

And we all know about his big mouth, don't we? :D

I think he has to do a balancing act to win the nomination, and play down his positions about guns etc. but in the end most of the time the guy who looks "most electable" gets the nod and that could very well be Christie in '16

because that's who he was working for at the time. Yes I agree he can spin that one away and even turn it into a positive. I have to confess, he lost a lot of points with me though. I was 100% in his court until then. Now, not so much, but a lot can change in the next few years.

I think it would be a cakewalk for the GOP if Biden were to garner the Dem nomination. Hillary OTOH would be a formidable candidate, except for perhaps this Benghazi baggage that she still might be carrying.

I've asked, and no one seems to be able to tell me what all the righties are licking their chops over regarding Benghazi.  What's the worst that could have be covered up? A miscalculation, misjudgement, etc., etc. Has anyone suggested a crime has been committed?

Besides, I wouldn't be surprised that she doesn't run.

I wonder if it was Mika, or Christies consultants that convinced him that Americans generally won't vote for a big fat load for POTUS.

I admire Christie for his courage to face his weight demon head on (even if it does have a possible, self serving political pay-off).

Why do you think they sent Rice out on the Sunday talk shows?  Rice was the good little soldier that day.

HC and BO were hoping that with the help of the MSM, to bury the mess; the security requests in the months prior to the attack, and coverup by blaming the video..

How stupid were they when HC made that PSA for Pakistan, blaming the video.

What they forgot that this happened on 9/11.  Duh!

When do we stop accepting this type of behavior from our elected officials?  Remember when BO promised to have the most transparent presidency in history
