How many times do I have to say it?!!?!! You don't have to worry about global warming.

If there is global warming, that's extremely beneficial---oops, for you folks in Rio Linda, that means good.

Why you might ask?  Ans. Cause we can grow more food if it's warmer.  So you don't have to worry about global warming.

It's not caused by humanoid activity anyway.  Climate change is caused by suns spots (solar index) and the earth wobbling on its axis.

There, case closed.

(CNN) -- Some 220 square miles of ice has collapsed in Antarctica and an ice shelf about the size of Connecticut is "hanging by a thread," the British Antarctic Survey said Tuesday, blaming global warming.

I have no dog in this hunt but ice melts all the time. Even big ice. Like icebergs. Suggesting ice melting proves global warning exists is not much more convincing than someone pointing to the formation of new glaciers and the widening of other icebergs as proof that global warming doesn't exist.

"we can grow more food if it's warmer."

according to who? different types of agriculture require different types of climate, or have you never noticed that? while some crops may thrive, others will not survive under constant heat.

"So you don't have to worry about global warming."

because you think we can grow more food? Is that the only issue involved with GW? Besides, we DON'T NEED more food. There is already a surplus of world food. Starvation occurs because of distribution problems (infrastructure, corruption, wars, etc) not a lack of world quantity. Don't you know that the U.S. gov't pays farmers NOT to grow food?

If I didn't know better, I would have thought this post would have been made by a global warming supporter to make fun of global warning denier arguments.

I have no problem believing that global warming is real. I have no problem accepting that we are experiencing climatic shifts. We had thunderstorms in January here, and I can't remember once in my life seeing a thunderstorm any earlier than March at the earliest. So, things are changing. Winter here used to mean that the snow was ass deep to a giraffe for about 2 months solid. Now, even when it is cold, we don't get much snow, and we see alot of winter days mild enough to wear shirt sleeves in.

Fine, so things are changing. There is absolutely no evidence however, that humans actually have the power to impact the climate on a global scale. There is even less evidence that anything we could realistically change would actually make a difference, not unless you want to go back to living in a cave that is.

You may be experiencing a warm winter but much of the globe is not. China is having its coldest winter in a century. My winter is the coldest for many years. We still have over four feet of ice on the lakes. I would like to shove AssHole NoBell Gore down an IceHole.

Yes, that is why I also included "climate changes" in my post. This winter alone we had tornadoes in areas not known to have tornadoes, unseasonably warm weather in some parts, and astronomically high snow fall in others.

When I was a kid, they always added 2 weeks to the school year for snow days. Despite that, every year we had to go a few extra days at the end of the year to make up for the actual number of days we missed. Through most of January and February I usually wasn't allowed outside by myself because the snow drifts were over my head by that time. I honestly can't remember the last time we saw snowfall that heavy even briefly, let alone saw 2 or 3 feet of snow that stayed on the ground through the winter. Winters here are flat out MUCH warmer here than they used to, and we no longer get even a fraction of the snow we used to get. And for other areas, it is just the opposite, winters being colder than they were a decade ago.

As to global warming, yes it is a real thing. Average global temperatures have risen by about a degree from where they were a decade ago. We see the effects of that in melting glaciers, milder winters in some areas, and yes, harder winter in other areas.

What I don't buy though, is the idea that we puny little humans can actually impact the climate on a global scale, and I am even more skeptical that there is anything we can realistically do to slow down or reverse global warming. The earth has gone through many warming and cooling cycles in its long history, and will go through many more over time.

But a big-time skeptic towards gov't. action, especially when it's the Socialists who are the vanguard of change.  Climate change is a natural phenomenon...a thousand years ago, Lief Ericsson named Greenland, now mostly a glaciated wasteland, by it's name because the southern point was habitable back then.  Today, if you watch many of the so-called scientifically/politically correct bullsh*t TV programs, humanity is on the verge of causing the greatest climatical shift in the last half BILLION tears, thanks to a mere century of burning fossil fuels.  Their solution?  Raise taxes!  Gee, don't ya think that you're being lied to yet again by politicians and the so-called scientists whom will benefit financially?  Hey, wasn't Florida supposed to be flooded and destroyed by the most horrendous hurricanes in history these past couple of years?  Climate experts cannot predict the weather that will hit in the next three days...why should I believe that their skewed computer models are truthful about next week/month/year/2100?  I don't...because they cannot say anything for certain...but what is certain is that many politicians want to raise taxes to prevent his calamity from happening, when their real intent is to be voted into office for life, regulate your life from cradle to grave, enrich themselves and their lazy and advericious posterity by taxing your and my hard earned wealth, all in the name of "the children".  Sorry, I don't believe a word of their BS...looks like BS, smells like BS, must be...BS...

to make sure that people like you do not have such critical thoughts. According  to the official handbook of the Democrat Party people like you have only two purposes in life; you are a vote to be bought and a source of tax money for them. You need to have a thought monitor installed on you to prevent you from such treasonous comments. Report to your nearest libbie-pink headquarters for installation (and bring cash for the fee for such "service").
