Vance is well-briefed and does a decent job. Walz is folksy and at times kind of a doofus but his experience and humanity shows through.
I think deciding who the winner is will break along the same lines as the top of the ticket. It will have no effect on the outcome.
The best thing about the debate is both men are refraining from name-calling and are being civil. It's a refreshing change.

3 of the 4 people on these two tickets are honorable. The debate seems like a draw and will not change any votes imo. Let's see if KellyAnne can get Chicken Trump to debate again. She clearly thinks he is losing.

I think the ratings for the debate will be low because of the competition from the baseball playoffs.

VP debates don't usually move the needle and this one won't either.  Both men acquitted themselves well enough. Both sides will declare victory.

Near the end of the debate the candidates were asked if Trump lost the election. Vance weaseled. Walz said, "That is a damning answer."
Vance is a weasel.

Frank Luntz had a focus group of 13 people.  Before the debate, 8 were favored Walz and 5 were for Vance.  After the debate, the response to the same question was 12-1 for Vance.

People were expecting  "Haitians eating pets" Vance but he had to do a rehab on his image. It worked to a degree.

I agree that Kamala is not honorable because she is lying to people about what her positions are on the issues, and she worked her way up through the ranks of politicians by sucking dicks.  Do you really think a Commander-in Chief who is a common slut is going to be taken seriously by other world leaders?  What will she say to keep Putin in line, "If you don't back off, no blow job for YOU?"

Walz being caught lying again and admitting he is a knucklehead is going to take precedence over anything Vance said that may have hurt his cause.  That was the ultimate "Gotcha."
