I like to see how far this one goes in courts.

Wouldn't hold my breadth though!

with the conclusions and summary that were written by political hacks... and corrupt UN officials... but go figure... what did we expect from that organization?  Honesty and integrity???

to try to argue something scientific. It's because emotion is ALWAYS allowed "into evidence" and idiots are allowed onto benches and into juries. Actually, idiots are usually sought out by one or both sides for juries. But lately, it's clear that the scientific community hasn't been able to police its self, so I guess someone needs to step up and be the parent, somehow.

the No Bell committee giving the prize to Watson Crick and Wilkins - but leaving out Franklin - the source of the data that they used to propose the double helix....

gimme a break... scientists are just a greedy, ambitious and capable of larceny and fraud as well, anyone....   seriously - cannot believe that you guys and gals believe that just because someone puts on a white lab coat - calls them selves doctor and wanders the hallowed halls of academia that they are immune from human weaknesses.....

you are absolutely right.

Now, don't you regard yourself as something of a scientist, or having some scientific expertise?

It seems to me that the core of science is presenting an issue in a way that its logic stands on its own - so that people should be able to understand (and reproduce the logic), but even if they don't, the logic still predicts the result.

I thought the scientific community (to the extent there is one) agreed that global warming was occurring but disagreed markedly on whether human factors had anything to do with it.

except for maybe the fact that Al Gore is a bloviating asshole.

The one thing that rational people should agree on is that "global warming" is more about wealth redistribution than any kind of global crisis.

and no, it is not accepted that we are undergoing global warming... there are just too many things going on to be certain as to what is correct...
for instance...
Mars, Pluto and other planetary bodies are undergoing a warming trend....
The last 8 or so years have provided data that suggest either a stabilization of temperatures.. or a cooling effect....

the book is just not closed....  much as al gore would like you to believe...

It just sems that "until lately" the financial stakes were never this high.

Seriously, key industries are changing.  In the 19th century, steel or railroads were key.

Now, things like finance, technology, communications are the keystone industries.

So the power shifts to the from the soldiers (in an agricultural economy) to the bankers (in an industrial economy) to the MBAs & scientists (in a service economy).

what you're saying is that power is shifting, and that's true.

if your only data came from the hyperbolic mainstream media, you might get the impression that global warming is a given. How could you ever generate any hype by simply stating the facts?
