Truth be told, I get called worse than "chinky eyed" on a daily basis. If this had happened to me, I would have probably burst out laughing.

There would be a lot of advantages to getting rid of the Muslim and Jewish loonies. I just wish there was a way to get rid of the Christian loonies too, but I see some down sides to nuking Kansas.

People have been making insulting and racist remarks for centuries.

If he was protected by a union, then they would have to give him a warning, etc.

That happens all the time, though usually not written down for someone to see. It's not uncommon, that if one becomes problematic to a service worker, or most anyone else for that matter, that that person will revert to a racial slur, especially if they believe they can get away with it. And, why would it be so surprising when you can get plenty of such bigotry on the airwaves (see link).
