I hear a lot of whining  from disconnected citizens  with TDS, complaining about  the North Korean Nuclear issue not resolved by now,  though I never hear those intellectually bankrupt morons suggest  a solution.

The rest of you with mental clarity  feel free to add your two cents if you aren't completely broke,  or pick your best scenario solution  from the list below.

A. Send  USA Special Forces team into North Korea to Assassinate Kim Jong-un, leave evidence making it appear the assassination team was  Russian.

B. Same scenario as B, except make it appear the Assassination  team was Chinese.
North Koreans aren't stupid, most  likely  they wouldn't  fall for the Lame Brain Game blaming their loss on Russians.

C. Full force  Surprise Nuclear attack, turn North Korea landscape into instant glass.

D.  Give North Korea a trillion dollars and a hundred  billion tons of food with hope they quit threatening us.

E.  CIA detains Dennis Rodman, without letting him know inject deadly  poison into his bloodstream that will kill anyone in his vicinity  a week after exposure for the next 30 days.  Send him  on a good will tour to play basketball with Kim.
Give Rodman the antidote when he arrives  back home.
Remove and Replace all Jefferson Davis Statues in America to Statues of Dennis Rodman.

F. Ignore Kim, like most fat ass heads he is full of shit and no threat to anyone, unless you have obsessive fear of  farts.

G. Remove all our Military men, women and weapons within five  thousand miles of North Korea, so Kim doesn't  lay awake all night, feeling threated wondering when we will attack him.

H. USA Special forces send missile with China serial numbers from  China's  border to assassinate Kim.

I. Don't worry about it, let Kim blow off some steam, the worst he could do is Nuke California, it's going to fracture off and fall into the Pacific  at some point in the future anyway.
If Kim  does  attack California, then it's time to turn  North Korea into a glass park.
If there are any trouble making Antifa remaining  outside of California after it's dropped into the abyss, send them and  their masks to their new home, The North Korea Skate Park.

I'm voting for the win win solution.......E

In my short time here, have read many of your posts, well at least small portions, anyway.  Your verbosity is overwhelming and only further underscores your inability to make any sense.

Have also read other posts on this topic and you, consistently miss the point.  Nobody said there IS a "military" solution to the North Korea dilemma.  Most simply express their displeasure with our president, once again, spouting off as if there IS a simple solution and without thinking it out, with another of his emotional outbursts threatened North Korea with a military option which would be totally irresponsible.

So the point you continue to evade/miss, consistently, is his behavior and nonsensical outbursts.  Maybe this is how you are able to support Trump.  You ignore the salient facts of any situation and when he is wrong (and this is quite often), you deflect, ignore, and label the facts "fake news."  The fact here is; Trump suggested a military option, threatened to "bomb the hell out of North Korea if they threaten again," and then did not follow through (which would have been even more disastrous).  The "red line" he condemned when just a regular citizen, is the same "red line" he drew and then did not follow through on.  These are the FACTS;  more empty/thoughtless rhetoric, trying to use bullying as a national strategy--which fails terribly, and then doing exactly what he criticized others for doing.  Dummy squared, hypocrite to the third degree.  Open and shut case.

Remember Trump IS the president!  So many issues/problems he said had simple solutions.  Now he is in the "hot seat" and RESPONSIBLE for implementing HIS "simple solutions."  Let's see what HE does.  Let's be fair about the outcome HE influences.  Here is your chance at redemption.  Any response that does not address his behavior, nonsensical outbursts, and hypocritical behavior is just doo doo.  Just the facts, please.

Both Russia and China are just as likely to be bit on the hand by the rabid dog Kim Jong-un. On the other hand, is it really so difficult to imagine a scenario of cooperation between the DPNK and Iran? This goes back to the days of the GW Bush administration when North Korea and Iran were part of the "Axis of Evil".

No sir, I surmise and propose to you the astonishing concept that it is in fact IRANIAN money power and technology that are driving the rapid development of nuclear weapons technology in North Korea.

They were involved prior to the deal done by the Obama administration, but once those funds were released it opened the floodgates. Not just to billions of dollars in arms and monies funneled to Hezbollah, Hamas and other terrorist satellite organizations furthering the goal of and Islamist (Shiite) Persian Hegemony, but to their sinister cabal with North Korea to advance their nuclear program while the world clucks and blinks and looks the other way because according to the IAEA, Iranian sites they have visited are keeping to the spirit if not the letter of the agreement.

WHAT A STACK OF COWPIE PANCAKES!!!

Is it really that far off acceptable mainstream think to point out the timing of North Korea's magnitude leap in technology coinciding in perfect lockstep with the ending of financial sanctions to Iran?

Consider the NK had managed yields in the 10-20 kiloton variety in their earlier tests. This last test was a hydrogen bomb, with a yield of 120 kt. I'm not a nuclear physicist, but that extraordinary leap in technological prowess did not come about as the result of years of trial and error and numerous tests using computer models and miniatures.

While the world looks on as Iran continues its plans of Hegemony by developing an unbroken landbridge from Tehran through Iraq into Syria and the Mediterranean coastline, using terrorism and propaganda as their methodology, the Evil Ayatollah's are forging ahead with their nuclear ambitions using the North Koreans as their Avatars and pawns in the larger game.

As to my solution...
1 - Cut off their financial and technological funding at the source

2 - Forget the Israeli's and Arabs. That's an argument based on sibling rivalry and religious dogma and will not be resolved by natural means. It will require an Act of God. In other words, no chance. Reunification with South Korea is a better bet for a Diplomatic Grand Slam. An opening to the North Koreans based on their agricultural needs (iow, FOOD) might be one path.

3 - Next time someone wants to do an "interview", send Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks, not Seth Rogen James Franco and Dennis Rodman.

Cheers

1. We know that NK is a very poor country where starvation is not uncommon. Everything is in short supply.  Are there reliable estimates of NK's stored resources for a sustained conventional ground war? Troops need food, gasoline, electricity, etc.. How many days (or weeks or months ... or years) can the NK fight as the resources are used up? Any military or intelligence agency have an answer?  (I would assume that China, Russia or others would not provide extensive (or any) resupply while a real war was raging. If I am wrong about that, please say so.)
.
2. Wouldn't China want to see the NK regime collapse and unification of NK and SK? Presumably, this would drain the SK economy for several years as they tried to help the North recover from 60+ years of insane leadership. As SK sinks, the Chinese economy could grow. (I would expect a unified Korea to rebound, as did a unified Germany, but I think the immediate effect would be to create a huge opportunity for China.)
.
Having a pro-West neighbor on their current NK border might be a factor, but who would ever invade China by land, and why?
.
3. Oops. Not a Q. I don't care how many nuclear weapons NK has: ONE is too many. Exploded over SK, Japan, Guam or anyplace else, it creates a radiation cloud that will spread around the globe. Kim is an unpredictable, untrustable nut job. I can't believe that the NK military hasn't overthrown him yet.  Get rid of Kim (permanently), get yourself arrested and executed, but let sane leadership take over. You'll be a hero to the country, in the long run and maybe get your picture on a coin or bank note.

1)  Their economy is actually growing
OK.  But for how long do the experts think that NK can sustain a live (conventional) war?  Their regular army is around 1 million strong. (They can expand to put around 6.5 million on active duty, I think.)
.
For how long can the current NK continuously feed, fuel, arm, supply, and resupply an active 1 million man army? Even if it just continuous fighting along the 38th Parallel? (I can easily see Kim starving 15 million peasants to death in order to feed the army ... to protect the remaining starving peasants from freedom).
.
I'll take a wild and unfounded guess: 6 months, tops. Anybody else?
.
2. Yeah, no country wants an "enemy" on their border, but I don't think that the future of int'l relations between superpowers is going to be as antagonistic as it was during the cold war years. I think the China could see the rescue of NK as an opp to sell lots more stuff, from building materials to computers to food. Maybe I've got Rodney-King-itis and think that we should all just get along.

Thank you for confirming you are just a troll without conviction that bombs this board.  Your suggestions are those that could only come from the mind of a 13 year old who has taken his comic books or as he puts it, his "Graphic Novels", way too seriously.  Or, a 50ish mumu dude posting on mom's wifi from the basement who plays a lot of Call of Duty.

I just got back from ROK and believe me they are more scared of what President Dumbass will do then they are of Kim Jung Un.  They key to dealing with Kim is understanding his desire to be taken seriously.  Same as Trump.  There are of course cultural and key political differences that make Kim the clear winner between the two on the stubborn little boy attitude.   Throughout the history of the Kim dynasty in the North, it has always acted like a petulant step child.   The key is to understand that when dealing with a child, sometimes you have to praise with a cookie as well as discipline with a spanking.

Currently we have about 24,000 boots OTG in the ROK.  On the other side of the DMZ, there are about 750,000 North Korean troops, all within 45 minutes of downtown Seoul.  Even with our current fleet and force projection, we could not stop a PRK onslaught without taking out Seoul ourselves.

And where do you suppose Kim is now, so we could effectively assignation him?  What plans has he told his closest disciples to execute in case of his death?  I can tell you that our intelligence in the PRK is dismally and dreadfully  sparse at best.

So great job on the fantastic troll post.  I may consider letting you impregnate one of my pets.

How does Iran benefit by funding North Korea’s nuclear program?

That is the problem I have with your theory, aside from the fact that I have read nothing to support it. The CIA projected that Iran was unlikely to spend much of the sanctions money on funding Hezbollah or Syria, where it has deep investments, and so far that projection has proven accurate. Irani needed that money for its own economy. If they are not spending it to strengthen their Shite allies, or at least counter their Sunni enemies and Israel, why in the world would they spend it to aid NK?

Further, Iran sells oil to South Korea and Japan and has no incentive to jeopardize these buyers by jump starting the nuclear program.

The idea that NK will pay by providing Iran with nuclear technology is also misplaced, at least so far, as that would be a violation of the Iran agreement. We all know that Iran has complied with the agreement. Missile technology maybe.

So while your idea is interesting Doctor Gonzo, it is not logical.

definitely a "Return" to a classic.

What's the matter Big Laffysan? You're so busy doing Boolean searches of TER forums to prove to yourself how superior you are you forget to how to do a REAL Google/BING/Alta-fucking-Vista search?

I tried to be civil upon my return from the dead, but the only people here who want civility are already corresponding with each other via PM or other means. As I have been doing for the last months. While you and Planet Stupid masturbate to reruns of Keeping Up with the Kardashians and Honey Boo Boo Grows Up, there are still a few people out there who appreciate the artistry of David Lynch and Mark Frost.

Especially considering it was the original Twin Peaks that broke all sorts of barriers when it came to the depictions of real violence, alternative lifestyles, and kinky sex depicted on the small screen. Or even the big mainstream screen.

Maybe its time you got a life beyond beating up submissive K-girls and feeding off the adulation of Planet Stupid and your lapdog. But when you're ready to have a substantive conversation, my email is still there.

Until then, cyber bullies and trollmongering asshats will always Occupy P&R, I understand and accept that reality. I'll just grow a thicker skin and present my perspective, and hope someone is willing to have a real dialog.

I can think of many on here who I have butted verbal heads with over the years, and yet, somehow, I've become friendly with several, real world friendships with a few, and had some of the most intense sex with a provider who initially contacted me over a religious themed post I made on this forum. In 2007. That's the difference between those on here only looking to stir the shit (Planet Stupid, Maroon Platoon, and their local representatives from the KKK and BLM) and the handful of real people who just have something controversial they want to discuss. Without being judged.

But I did not realize until now this is no longer a forum for discussion, but an informal verbal arena where "Battle Raps" have become the de rigeur form of expression.

I'd rather have an intelligent discussion.

Say it in email and keep it real, or keep your fucking mouth shut.

So while your idea is interesting Doctor Gonzo, it is not logical.
One can not use mainstream logic when it comes to either the Ayatollah's, or the DPNK under the Kim Dynasty (if you have to ask, don't read any further).

You didn't read anything about billions of dollars in cash going missing during the Gulf Wars until it was far too late to do anything but complain. But it turned out to be true. To the tune of $11 billion and counting to my best recollection.

You didn't read anything about Abu Ghraib and the crimes at Guantanamo until it was a fait accompli, and the sacrificial lambs aka grunts, foot-soldiers, infantry, those who were "just following orders" were offered up on a silver platter to the public for mass consumption, while the perpetrators on Level 5 at Washington, DC 22202 collect medals and "Harumph!" for their LePetomane Puppetmasters. (a little over the top ya?)

Back to the Real, Mari. I surmise, based on my own studies, research, OPINION, personal experiences and real world observations that there is no way under the conditions that we know of, where North Korea could make such a major leap in advancing the technology without major outside help.

Now, look at the results of this latest test. If China has truly been involved, do you really think they would not have taken into account the potential for a catastrophic release of radiation into the atmosphere right next door? Not unless their programs of population control are so out of whack they felt the need for drastic measures... but we're nowhere near that tipping point.

The Russians would have the same concerns, unless you think they are ready to let go of 600,000 residents in Vladivostok, which would be directly in the path of any radiation cloud heading North East.

The Iranians on the other hand, have nothing to lose by redirecting their own nuclear ambitions in a collaborative effort with DPNK. And if your geography is lacking, its more than 6000 miles across China and 5 of the "Stans". Diplomatically, there are perfectly above board commercial flights between Tehran and Pyongyang via Beijing, on several Asian via multiple air carriers. And need I remind you that while the Iranians have allowed the IAEA inspectors to their now closed facilities. they have been refused access to ANY and ALL military installations. What was that you said? The silence is deafening.

So why is it so difficult to even consider the possibility, however remote you might think, that there is not some element of connection between the two governments, observable or covert?

How difficult do you think it is for a palette of dollar bills to fall of the truck like they did so often during the Gulf Wars and wind up in the hands of sinister outfits. And then find its way through back channels and black marketers to terror organizations? How easy do you think it is when the commodity being traded is information you can fit on a thumb drive...or the minds of brilliant scientists physicists and engineers flying commercial airliners to Beijing and then on to where did you say?

It is when you STOP applying the lessons of the media and start to put the pieces of the puzzle together you see a different perspective.

Mari, this is just an opinion, but one based on perspective and some serious dot-connecting. I do not reference any of my sources, but they typically have not been misdirected by the Sleight of Hand that has become in current times the Donald Trump Drama du Jour.

No, Marikod, it is not logical by the measuring stick of conventional and mainstream world politics.
Neither are the ambitions of Islamic Jihad, of which Iran is the worlds foremost enabler.
And Iran is Shiite, which are the enemies of the Sunni's led by Saudi Arabia.
Which is the worlds largest proponent of Sunni, who are the enemies of the Shiites.

Who are currently at war in Yemen. A once beautiful country and the former worlds largest source of frankincense myrrh and other rare herbs spices and healing resins used for thousands of years. Now close to extinction. Among other things.

No Marikod, there is no logic at work. Trying to apply conventional logic to our current world stage is short sighted and narrow minded. And with a hair trigger POTUS making life miserable for people who crave real news not Survivor: White House, we are getting more and more misdirection and less and less substance.

Maybe that's the real goal of the Russian influence in our elective process..... to distract us from the real moves being made on the other side of the game board.

The US is still playing geopolitics like it is a chess board.

It isn't. It's the game of GO, and we are not in good position.

Iran may be using North Korea as a proxy......but probably as a proxy of Russia.

Ok that right there, your notion of proxy degrees of separation, maybe. But again, from where I sit, I do not see any strategic or even tactical advantage in either Russia or especially China to North Korea having a viable nuke with a viable delivery platform.

Are the DPNK getting materials from Russia and China? Most certainly getting it from somewhere, and paying for it somehow. Who is to say how that payment is being arranged?

Are the Russians taking advantage of our current unstable foreign policy vis a vis the Pacific Rim? Fuck yes, that's obvious.
Is POTUS Trump making it easier for them? Yeah, sadly, that is also true at the expense of our world standing as a nation, if not our own population.

The North Koreans could not make that big a leap without outside assistance, unless they managed to hack the Pentagon the same time they were hacking Sony Studios and now seeing the fruits of their labors.

But I would still maintain that if you look at the Big Picture, on the world stage of ambition and expansion, Iran has the most to gain by a nuclear capable North Korea. Not so much for what it does for them, but for what it does to their enemies while fueling their terror proxies and propaganda outlets, and attaining Persian Hegemony in the Middle East via the Shiite Islamic Jihad. their short term goal of contiguous land between Tehran and the Mediterranean is nearly complete. Once a nuke is set off somewhere not Iran, they will escalate their own ambitions to the next level.

Big Papasan says I am obsessed with my hatred for Iran. He is wrong. I do not hate the people of Iran. I despise loathe and fear the aims goals and ambitions of the Ayatollah's, I take great umbrage in their constant threats at wiping out Israel, a goal that could only be achieved by also wiping out the disputed territories you call Gaza and West Bank and I call Judea and Samaria. Except Gaza is no longer disputed or occupied, it is being run by Hamas, one of Iran's proxy terror organs and they don't want to do productive business with their neighbors who control most if not all the natural resources. Egypt and Cyprus included. But that's another argument.

Can you keep it civil?

The Mathematician named George Boole after whom the term is named.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Boole

A Boolean search is a type of search allowing users to combine keywords with operators (or modifiers) such as AND, NOT and OR to further produce more relevant results.

For example, a Boolean search could be "hotel" AND "New York". This would limit the search results to only those documents containing the two keywords. A typical Boolean search you would do on TER might be

Author "DoctorGonzo" AND text reading "Israel"
or "Laffy" AND "your hero"   or  "GaGambler" AND "TSTTT"  or  "BigPapasan" AND "BWAHA"

(that last one surprised me not in how often it came up, but in just.how.many. people you have mocked over the years. something to think about or ignore. your choice)

Here's the link to the full entry

hope that helped.

Cheers

Pakistan already has their own supply of nukes both atomic and hydrogen based as does India. Both have missile silos at the ready to wipe out the other side. India has the advantage in geography, but any attack using nuclear weapons anywhere in that region means tens if not hundreds of millions of lives.

Those two have their own MAD scnario going, the difference being India is not known as a state sponsor of terrorism
while Pakistan on the other hand was playing both sides of the fence during the Musharrafs regime, kowtowing to American interests while hosting Bin Ladens family at the same time.

Neither Pakistan nor India have any vested interest on furthering the DPNK nuclear ambitions. But Islamist factions in both countries would have a vested interest in a dirty bomb scenario there or anywhere else.

India and Pakistan long ago competed their experimentation and both have the capability and raw materials to make as many weapons as they need, with plenty left over for black marketeering.

The DPNK and Iran are the next two countries on the list of potential nuclear capacity. The Russians and Chinese both have the ability to provide nuclear technology as well as delivery systems including missile technology and mini briefcase nukes have been around since the 70's at least.

It's a wonder we haven't already been hit with a dirty bomb somewhere in the world.
With Iranian ambition and aggression on the rise, and unprincipled leadership in both Tehran and Pyonyang, I see a partnership of growing commitment between the two, regardless of what the mainstream media or resident trolls have to say to me.

Frankly, I'm surprised the Hard Left hasn't already tried claiming the Zionists are behind the North Korean nuclear program.

I would be more likely to believe a scenario where the DPNK hackers got ahold of sensitive technical data and manuals and this is the result of their efforts than I would the Russians and Chinese governments are actively involved.

And I would be more inclined to believe there is Iranian influence at work in North Korea, and what we are seeing are the tests the Iranians cant perform on their own, with a trade off in their advanced missile technology coming to the DPNK.

BTW - prior to the Obama Nuke deal, Iran had successfully run several tests in underground bunkers that we know of.
That was data supplied by the Mossad to the CIA, and it is public record. There are no known events since the accord was signed. Not on Iranian held soil anyway...

but look at the drastic increase in DPNK activity along that front ever since the deal was signed.

This scenario is far more likely than the conventional thinkers would allow for precisely because the players do not operate by conventional norms.

Whether it is the Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Supreme Commander Kim Un, or President Trump, we have some extraordinary caricatures running things around the world and it is scary to think of these people having that kind of power.

Re: Why would Russia help North Korea?
Easy.  To fuck with us.

It's the same reason they messed with our elections......to cause chaos (and to have Trump do their bidding if he won).

If Traitor Trump and everyone else is spending so much time on North Korea, then we're not watching all the shit they are doing.

Who else could help them getting  hydrogen bomb and/or ICBM?  Pakistan, as far as I know, has neither technology.  When has Iran tested either of those?  You think they built them in their secret bunkers and they worked perfectly with no testing?

and they did, as they have called Twin Peaks airing a tremendous success with the largest signup numbers in history...
I myself signed up specifically for Twin Peaks... and have since found several other programs that will hold my interest.

It really is a shame you've prejudged the program simply because it does not stack up to GoT numbers.

But on the other hand, if you look at the bottom line of production costs versus net profits...

GoT will not turn a profit for HBO for at least 4 years after the first run is done due to production costs in excess of 100 million this past season.

Twin Peaks has already seen an almost 500% profit with all production and marketing costs having been recouped.

And they are negotiating for another season as we speak.

Too bad you aren't interested in watching the show. But it does require intelligence, focus and an open mind.

... but you and Laffy still seem obsessed  with linking me as a Trump supporter.

It's as if you NEED me to be a Trump supporter so you can rationalize hating me for being pro-Israel.

Enough already BP, enough.

I would not call your argument “opinion” – I would call it “speculation.”

Here’s why. If there was even a TINY piece of evidence supporting the notion that Iran is either funding NK nuclear or missile technology, or actually supplying the technology, then Trump would not be certifying the Iran Agreement because this would be an actual breach of the agreement.

He has instructed his flunkies to “find a breach” but so far they have been unable to do so.  Per the agreement, the military bases are not prima facie subject to inspection – there is a complex procedure that must be followed and the IAEA has not even started the procedure bc there is no evidence of Iranian violation. So it is Trump not Iran who is violating the agreement by insisting on military base inspections without following the procedure.

Note also that the technology actually flows the other way – from NK to Iran. Iran has no nuclear or ballistic missile technology to export-  NK is way ahead of them in both areas.

So at best your theory has validity that sanctions money is secretly being shipped to NK by Iran, even though Iran desperately needs to apply that money to its own economy and, if any is left, to support its Middle East adventures.

Yes it is possible Doctor Gonzo. But if this was True, or if a credible argument could be made,  or even if it met the standard "Obama is wiretapping Trump Tower" Trump would be tweeting about this and the Iran Agreement would be history. That he has not raised your argument tells me it is still in the realm of pure speculation and “anything is possible.”

But if the facts subsequently show you to be right, I will be the first to say "you nailed it."
