This is fascinating, especially in light of the Nevada Republican Party's trashing of Democratic voter registrations.

Having elections be run by nonpartisans is one of the most basic features of a true democracy.

Democrats are just as capable of abusing our present system as Republicans are.  This needs to be changed.

If you will recall your history, that's precisely how Germany did it.

to suggest that there is such a thing as a "non-partisan."

"Non-partisan" is too frequently a code word for a "liberal who doesn't want to be identified as one."

though the charge was leveled by a disgruntled employee who had been fired.

Then there's the Democrat-controlled town in Ohio where there are more registered voters than citizens in the last census.

And oh, yeah, those nasty Florida Republicans trying to fix the vote.

The Miami Herald reported that at least two hundred felons illegally voted in Miami-Dade in 2000.  And it was just a few years previously that a Democrat Mayor had to resign over his fraudulent election.

Then there was the sight of all of those hanging chads being divined by Democrat officials.  And the complaint about a "butterfly ballot," designed and approved of by Democrat election officials.  And what about the busloads of welfare recipients in Jacksonville who spoiled their ballots by voting for two presidential candidates, because they were apparently too stupid to vote?

And oh, the phony charges of voter intimidation against Blacks, when not a single voter who had been intimidated was identified.

You Lefties just can't stand losing fair and square.  And it's particularly ironic, since Nixon acted like a true statesman --- declining to provoke a constitutional crisis --- when the presidency was stolen from him in Illinois in 1960.

There are laws that cover tampering with a person's right to vote.  Private citizens can bring partisan officials to task by gathering ironclad evidence that registrations are being tampered with.  Partisan officials, regardless of the party or political viewpoint, can be put in jail by enraged citizens who use common sense in going about the task of insuring that our democracy is functioning properly.

Lots of Democrat Snowbirds from the NY, PA, MA voted by absentee ballot in their summer states and in person  in FL.  Bush won in 2000 and I hope he wins now.

I earned it.

And no, I'm not going to identify it.  Suffice it to say that it's consistently top 25.... frequently, top 10.
