Correct..... For Perjury.

From today's Times:
"The Justice Department has opened a criminal investigation into E. Jean Carroll, the 82-year-old former magazine writer who accused Donald J. Trump of sexual assault, according to a person with direct knowledge of the situation.

The investigation is believed to center on whether Ms. Carroll committed perjury in civil lawsuits against Mr. Trump, according to the person, who requested anonymity to discuss an ongoing investigation. Ms. Carroll won a $5 million civil judgment against Mr. Trump that he had sexually abused and defamed her, which the president last November asked the Supreme Court to overturn."

They are looking at her testimony.    WHICH YOU ARE LEAVING OUT.

It was about how "she received" no outside funding to push this lawsuit.   Yet she did.    Her testimony on it is kind of "blurry".     What I mean by that is she "said she didn't get any".... yet later her lawyer said she did or something like that.

So looking into if someone perjured themselves is a worthy thing.   Especially in civil lawsuits where it is a different threshold when making rulings compared to criminal cases.

But yeah..... say it is "weaponizing' when it isn't.    It is making sure the monetary amount is correct with the judgement issued by the court.

This entire issue came up during trial. It was thoroughly discussed and investigated by the judge who concluded there was no perjury. Funny how you failed to mention that. From Google:
"Judges and appeals courts concluded E. Jean Carroll did not commit perjury because the evidence showed she simply did not know about or manage her litigation funding. When questioned, she plausibly explained she had forgotten about the limited outside funding, and courts found she was never personally involved in securing the money."

You do know JUDGES GET THINGS WRONG.   The new "investigation" is looking to see if she did actually know.   Which is other statements that have been made and WHERE THE FUNDING CAME FROM.    What I mean is that some of the links to where the funding came from is showing that she could have had knowledge.  It wasn't as "cut and dry" as the judge ruled.

Do I think something will come of this.   "NO"..... but it could change the judgement that was issued.   IE: Dollar value gets lowered.   But Trump is hoping it will get it thrown out and has to be a new trial.

This isn't "weaponizing" law fare.   It is looking into a court case to see if mistakes happened.    WHICH MANY CASES DO.   It is the job of the DOJ to do this.    Weaponizing law fare is changing statue of limitations and then going after someone. (NY AGAINST TRUMP).    Weaponizing of DOJ/FBI is knowing that a dossier is fake, not credible, etc.  YET keep issuing subpoena's and other things off of that said bullshit dossier.    I hope you see the difference.    This issue with Carrol is looking to see if the judge got it wrong and possibly lowering the judgement price tag IF she got money directly type thing.

Leaving it out made it sound like nothing had been done re this issue. When, in fact, a lot had been done.
I call that a lie by omission.

Why didn't you mention that it was already "looked into" by the judge.    YOU also negated to mention the stuff I talked about........  POT CALLING KETTLE BLACK.

You seem to do this all the time and I pointed out other facts of the matter.    Again.... this is the fucking job of the DOJ to make sure judges get things correct when questioned on them.

BUT you ignore the actual "law fare" that happened prior.    It is just you have TDS so bad you can't see past what is taking place and want to push bullshit.     Again this is the DOJ doing their job and with Trump hoping for a lowering of the compensation, a new trial, or a complete dismissal.     This isn't going after any new "Charges".

You've been doing it ever since you came on this board.
We've known for months.
But thanks for doing it in your famous word salad.

Partisan hack..... POT MEET KETTLE.

I was bringing up what is actually occurring.  YOU try to steer it to make it look like TRUMP IS SENDING THE DOJ AFTER HER.... when it isn't the case.   It is the DOJ looking into if the correct ruling was made.   Perjury is a big issue.

But it is funny how you always do this need to call names when confronted with facts.   Say I am doing a "word salad" when I am speaking facts.

But keep up with your TDS and proving it over and over again.

if you believe this inquiry isn't purely driven by Trump's need for revenge. A large part of Trump's agenda is driven by retribution. Remember when he told a crowd, 'I am your retribution?" But you ignore that. As you ignore the judge looked into the matter.
As for word salad, you write like an eight-year-old. On a good day.

... when making rulings compared to criminal cases."

Once again, CRSM demonstrates his 27 IQ.  Although the lawsuit was civil, Carroll is being investigated for CRIMINAL perjury.   Perjury is a CRIME.  There is no "lesser threshold."  The DOJ ordinarily wouldn't investigate perjury in a civil case - that would be up to Trump's civil attorneys in the Carroll suit but there's no indication that Trump is appealing to have the case overturned on the basis of Carroll's alleged perjury.

In order to prove perjury, the DOJ would have to prove Carroll lied, that she lied intentionally, and that she knew it was a lie at the time she made the statement about getting outside funding.  The DOJ will have to look for and subpoena witnesses and documents and prove their case beyond a reasonable doubt.

Another big hurdle for the DOJ is "materiality."  The DOJ would have to prove that Carroll's "perjury" is relevant or material to the gravamen of the case, which it obviously is not.  What difference does it make if someone funded her lawsuit to the issue of whether Trump did or did not sexually assault Carroll?

CRSM 27 IQ: "So looking into if someone perjured themselves is a worthy thing."
Trump and the DOJ don't give a fuck about whether Carroll lied about getting outside funding.  They're really going after Reid Hoffman, the guy who funded Carroll's lawsuit.

Do you see the irony is deriding FACTS when your posts consist of lies and bullshit?  You're just lucky that your fellow righties are fucking morons who are too stupid to realize your posts are lies and bullshit.

of people here are morons because their view of the facts is different than yours, you should stop and consider the possibility that they are all correct and YOU are the one who is mentally deficient.  Many people in the first stages of dementia think the whole world is against them, much like the tenor of your recent posting.  When you say everyone else is too stupid, it's the same concept as when you say everyone else but you is racist, but YOU were the only one branded by a former TER moderator as Big Lying Racist Piece of Shit.  Maybe he also meant that you were pulled out of someone's ass?  Have you considered that?

Thanks for proving what a fucking liar and moron you are.   I didn't say your fellow righties are morons because their view of the facts is different than mine.  I said they're fucking morons because they never question or contradict the lies and bullshit YOU post.  Facts are facts, but YOU don't post facts; you post shit you pull out of your ass and fling onto TER.  Maybe if you acually post FACTS and back up those facts with LINKS, you wouldn't be such a fucking moron.  It's up to you to decide if you want to continue to be a fucking moron for everyone to see.

Here's the PROOF that you're a fucking liar.  This is why I said your fellow righties are fucking morons:
"And have you ever seen any righty call him on his bullshit?  Of course not!  They're bigger fucking morons than COEUR-DE-CHAPON is.  They believe everything he posts without question.  That's why COEUR-DE-CHAPON keeps on posting bullshit - he has contempt for his fellow righties.  He knows they'll believe his bullshit so he'll keep on posting it while I will keep on posting how much of a bullshitter he is and how fucking stupid his fellow righties are for believing him."
