In Saudi Arabia, a key ally in our axis versus Iran:

Far too many American presidents have been afflicted with the notion that it's our job to look into the souls of foreign leaders and use US policy to dispense justice for their sins ... It is God's job to sit in judgment — my job to defend America and to promote the fundamental interests of stability, prosperity, and peace.

It's crucial for the wider world to know this great transformation has not come from Western  interventionists, or flying people in beautiful planes giving you lectures on how to live and how to govern your own affairs."

"In the end, the so-called nation builders wrecked far more nations than they built and the interventionalists were  intervening in complex societies that they did not even understand themselves."

"No, the gleaming marvels of Riyadh and Abu Dhabi were not created by the so-called 'nation builders,' neocons, or liberal non-profits like those who spent trillions and trillions of dollars failing to develop Baghdad, so many other cities."

"Instead, the birth of a modern Middle East has been brought by the people of the region themselves, the people that are right here, the people that have lived here all their lives, developing your own sovereign countries, pursuing your own unique visions and charting your own destinies in your own way."

"They told you how to do it, but they had no idea how to do it themselves. Peace, prosperity, and progress ultimately came not from a radical rejection of your heritage, but rather from embracing your national traditions and embracing that same heritage that you love so dearly."

Anyone hoping to understand President Trump's foreign policy should watch his whole speech, probably the most momentous foreign policy address of my lifetime. Trump is building a new world order. I would encourage our allies to watch it closely so as not to miss out on what could turn out to be a once in a lifetime opportunity
Trump:
POTUS: My greatest hope is to be a peacemaker. To be a unifier. I don’t like war

His slavish slobbering over Trump's TelePrompter reading of a speech someone wrote for him now includes THREE posts replying to his initial post. And, now, me pointing it out.
Sad.

Mark halperin: Trump’s Tuesday speech in Saudi Arabia – which shockingly gets almost zero coverage in the American media – was one for the ages, with some observers not unreasonably calling it extraordinary, and some supporters saying it was one of the best and most important addresses by a U.S. president in many years. It warrants your time to watch it in full if you have not, to understand Trump’s unusual and distinctive world view:

Agree or not, Halperin's comments were about the speech itself. Mine were about ChicKie's serial posting on the matter and how desperate it seems.
ChicKie seems unable to grasp the difference and that's just...
Sad.

He tried to troll the thread and then got pissed that I used his post to add more to the topic.

He is clueless re what trolling is and hypersensitive that I was the only one to notice him commenting multiple times on his own thread when NO ONE ELSE DID.
If putting up the same, tired, ageist gif is "adding more to the topic" I'd say ChicKie is bereft of any common sense.

Mark Halperin was once on top of the world with his career as a journalist and his book “Game Change.”  Then it was revealed Halperin was a creep and a perv.  He disappeared into oblivion and now is trying to make himself relevant again.  And ChicKenShit is so desperate he uses Halperin as a source.

Despite his past indiscretions, Mark kept up a solid network of sources within politics. So much so that he scooped the story about Biden dropping out of the race. It was discussed in multiple threads right here at the Politics & Religion Forum. Must have been during one of your extended absences from the forum.

Where is Halperin working now?

“Past indiscretions?”  You call forcefully grabbing women “indiscretions?”  You call shoving your erections up against women “indiscretions?”

Your observation about “extended absences” from this board is interesting. I’m flattered you so closely follow my comings and goings.  But it also seems to indicate you think “extended absences” are a bad thing.   However, to me it indicates I have a life and you don’t.

I’ve got no issue with an absence. Just pointing out that you missed the Halperin discussions here back when he broke the Biden dropping out story.
